It all really depends on your situation and desires.

I loved my Tacoma in College and preferred to drive it a lot of days to my Miatas or E46.

I hated my Tacoma once I moved to Nova.

I really despised dailying my 4runner as well and preferred driving the E30 when I could.

I felt handicapped ever since selling the Tacoma and now feel very good and independent again having the truck. I have much less desire for a street car with the truck than I had desire for a truck while having a street car. I enjoy having space for everything, neat features, high seating position, etc. Not much enjoyment comes from a street car when I'm mostly sitting in traffic and the only time I'm out and about on the weekends is if I'm picking up parts, towing, or carrying people.

I'm driving back from the beach right now with 4 adults and all of our stuff in the bed. Everyone has ample space and is comfortable.
