BendPak MD-6XP mid-rise car lift, 6000lb Capacity

Having never used this type of lift, other than not having to bolt it to the floor, would you say it has any advantages over a similarly priced MaxJax two-post such as this?

This seems frighteningly unsafe. How does it not risk becoming unbalanced if it's not bolted down?

PS - My MaxxJaxx will be for sale in about 3 months January/February timeframe, but more expensive than Pete's solution.

Care to elaborate? If I'm mistaken, I'd love to know. I sat and pondered the physics of a portable two posts for a bit before I posted that reply.
