Also, in about the 2 years I've owned this thing I finally tackled the front speakers not working.. Common problem for the XJ's is the door/speaker harness wires pass between the door and the body via a rubber grommet. Over time, as the door continously opens and closes the poor little wires eventually just snap and everything goes to hell. Yanked the passenger door card and repaired the wiring. WAHLA! I have sound!
The driver side is a little more annoying in that the wire is broken and the factory harness for the speaker connector is missing from the body side to connect to this..

I need to either go to a JY and find that plug (my 1st choice but limited by the ZERO fucking JY's in the area..) or just clip the connector and solder that beotch directly.
Battery no longer seems to be an issue so I dropped getting that tested and I adjusted my rear drums and HOLY HELL that's where all my braking power was lost :finger:
