So currently this thing is the bain of my existence. The Reservoir came in. Couldn't easily get the old one off and ended up destroying it. Tried to put the new one on and it broke.. Sunovabeotch. Broke down and ended up just buying a whole new PS pump w/ reservoir. Rented the pulley puller and proceeded to spend an hour in the parts store trying to get it off the old pump. Destroyed the pulley. Placed an order last night and the new pulley will be here today. The installer/puller at advance BLOWS. Just like any Jeep when it rains it pours. What was supposed to be a $20 job to replace a hose I've now spent ~$150 and pretty much replaced the entire steering assembly sans the gearbox.. *Le sigh*
Poor girl looks like a weekend project jeep now.. Carpet is pulled up and interior pieces spread everywhere to dry up and fix the water leak. Electric fan, airbox, and new PS pump sitting in the cargo area.. and various tools, nuts, and bolts sitting in the engine bay with the hood popped.. Praying to the Jeep gods I fix her this evening and get to go for a drive.
Where we were last night..
