Lee's Watch Thread for MM'ers of Impeccable Taste
Oof. I could do this watch if it had an all white or all blue face, but the two face thing is awful. Which is a shame, because I like the blue and white, it would go great with my 2019 Ford GT.

I feel like its casual enough to wear with jeans and a button up, but can be worn as a fancy watch with a suit. Its also not really busy like a lot of chronographs tend to be.

Lee, find me one of these for cheap!

That JS link you posted has it on sale for Valentine's Day for $975 (30%)! That's probably as cheap as you'll find it new!

I'll keep my eyes open for something on the WUS used tho!

Wife and I are headed out tonight, so I decided to do it up. The crystal is so freaking clear that it's near impossible to take a decent picture due to reflections.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Dude that is beautiful! Is that the one you already had in your collection or did you just scoop that? The Carerra is one of my favorite TAGs, it wears so well and really is timeless.

Beauty dude! Immaculate condition, you're probably a lot like me on that wanting to keep all of the things nice. I was joking with Joey over Messenger about how I take my ring off every time I put a watch on (no matter how much it cost me) because I figured out long ago that I was scratching the bands and case backs with my tungsten ring. That's properly anal but completely true

Hanging out last night smoking my pipe / cigars with some neighbors, one of the guys had a QALO wedding ring so I checked it out. I had heard about them but never really thought about how convenient it would be for not scratching my watches, not being uncomfortable when I do house projects / gym / etc. There are some cheap knockoffs on Amazon I might give a try, especially since QALO doesn't seem to do half sizes of their rings for some reason. Not exactly watch related but will report back with feedback!

We bought two of those for working out, cycling, etc, they're great. Super comfortable. Dont worry about the half-size, just size up to the next size.

I just don't wear my ring to the gym? Am I weird? Having a second thing just seems like a waste.

Awesome that's good advice. I got thin chick fingers ever since I dropped a bunch of weight last year so I've downsized 1.5 sizes already.

It's also when I'm gaming, it's super uncomfortable to wear my ring when using a control pad and doing a lot of other stuff, so I just never end up wearing it. I already have three wedding rings (because they are so cheap, thx Amazon) so picking up a few more don't hurt

I use Qalo or at least the knock off for car/welding work. I hate rubber/silicone so it's off as soon as I am done

I don't wear my ring when I'm doing anything active and I take it off as soon as I get home from work. Having a second ring seems odd to me too. If I cared that much about being branded, I'd just get a ring tattoo.

I have a knockoff silicone ring, I wear it at track weekends or doing outdoorsy things like camping for a few days.

My ring never leaves my finger, so I have just gotten so use to wearing one it feels unnatural not to have something.

Yeah I ordered the cheapo $8.99 knockoff that got good reviews on Amazon!

Not sure this qualifies as Impeccable Taste, but I have a new thing adorning my wrist.

[insert joke about only fat people wearing fitbits]

I'd been toying with the notion of a fitbit for awhile, but never really liked the options for those with more discerning tastes among us. Enter the Charge 2, with its changeable bands, and my desire to use up the rest of our United miles from before we switched to Capital One Venture card. I picked up this band for $13 on Amazon and am pretty pleased with it. It's still recognizable as a fitbit, but it's not so out of place wearing it every day. I have no idea if this will actually motivate me, but I love data, so there's a chance it could. Also, notifications from my phone are pretty nice for when I'm in meetings and whatnot. I haven't yet figured out how to reconcile this with my recent propensity to collect watches.

That's sharp, I like that. I'm wearing a fitbit that wifey got for the whole family and I wish I had something a little more stylish. That might be the ticket, because I don't really want to go the smartwatch route for now.
