1430 lbs, 200 lbs, $39500. Seems like a pretty damned good deal considering that you can't get into a Radical, X-Bow, Atom, or a Caterham for that price. And this thing looks pretty good to my eye.

Kind of curious what Ford powerplant they're using, it says it's a n/a 2.0L unit putting out 200 hp but I don't know of any that put out those numbers, does anyone have an idea of what it is? Then the next question is, would this thing be able to fit a Ecoboost 2.0L???

You can definitely get an Atom for that price range. Just not the Supercharged V8.

The Atom starts at $56k with the 2.4L Honda engine. I don't even think you could get a used Atom for under $40k.

Maybe a used Atom for that price, but definitely not a new one for under $40k. A new Atom with NO options starts at a smidge over $56k.

Edit.
Damnit Gerald beat me to it.

Where does one find used Atoms and other purpose-built track cars anyway?

Occasionally they list used ones on the Atom website. Other than that, I have no idea who lists things like that.

I suppose I should've just Googled it, I guess a good place to check is arielatomchat.com. Lowest listed price was $42000. I think the prices might end up staying high because there are so few of them and TMI is selling 'em faster than they can make 'em.

Which makes me think that Zenos is going to be backordered like a motherfucker with this thing being as cheap as it is. Well, assuming it's not a pile of shit that will get you killed.

the 2.0 they're talking about is probably the MZsomethingorother out of the miata, which is a ford duratec unit. Cosworth makes parts for them so 200 should be cake considering they come stock with like 170. its probably some bolt ons, an intake mani, and a tune.

Now with Ecoboost!

250 hp seems kinda modest, but I guess if you bought one you could crank up the boost yourself. They quoted 'under 5 seconds' to 60 but at that power to weight ratio it's probably going to be close to 4 seconds if not lower.

Looks like an angry salamander but I'd still love to sling one around a track.

I'd love to see some small lotus-7-like kits based around the 1.0EB motor. it's so tiny, seems like it would be really appropriate for that application.
