Justin, make sure all the waitlist spots don't get taken up before I get there. I'm shooting for as close to 10 as I can.

Much fun was had. Waiting on results still, but Dan and I had a great day and he may have even come close to (or beaten?) my best time - very impressive for a first-ever event for him!

We had two E36's go down... the blue one spun and could not get the motor restarted. Not sure as to why, but he had to be towed home Sad Felton did an impressive job getting him off the course, though:

The other E36 spun and very, very gently tapped one of the big oil recycling thingers off in the grass. He got a ding in his driver's door, but no significant damage. Just an unfortunate place to go for a ride.

The course was pretty fast, great fun for the E36 chassis and even the higher-horsepower cars looked like they were having fun. That can be difficult at some autocrosses when they get really technical and the 400 hp cars can't run out all their power. Not so here.

Props to Jon, Nichole and Zach for a great day!

Yep, fun day!

That blue '95 M3... engine would start, just wouldn't rev or idle. We suspected airflow meter at first but didn't come to any conclusions. Not sure if that contributed to his spin or was a result of it, or what. The second one - white 325i - had no clutch pedal which is why I had to pull him off the course too. I think that was just a slave cylinder as he was eventually able to drive it onto his trailer. I also don't know if that contributed to his spin or not.

I was on ancient Star Specs which meant a very slippy set of runs. Still a blast, but not too fast... 53.6 was my best I think. My vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGeiNzl5wwo

That guy with the blue e36 can never catch a break -- if its the same one that Maeng instructed at Summit a few events back...

Possibly the same car, I think he ran it in HPDE2 at the last few events of 2013. Hopefully nothing serious this time. Sounded like the result of a vacuum leak or intake leak or similar. And it was doing the same thing whether the maf was plugged in or not, which is how we got to that first-guess-agnosis...

Yeah, its the same guy. He said he had the motor replaced sometime last year and was trying to shake it down at this event. I hope its something simple like a MAF like Jon eluded to.
