Looking for Reliable, Non-Sporty Convertible

No, not to replace the Stratus. I am staying with someone in Charlotte, NC while I'm doing my internship. She's looking for a convertible (preferably hard-top) that's reliable and not too sporty, also preferably Front Wheel Drive. I figured you guys could help her out better than I could...

How new? Automatic or manual?
FWD is going to give you choices like a Pontiac G6, Sebring, Eclipse Spyder or PT Cruiser. Out of those choices, the G6 is the only hardtop... Sebring started being offered with H/T very recently so depending on what she wants to spend, that could work.

We had one (of the older ones) in Hawaii and if you don't care about the driving experience, and just want something with no roof, that's reasonably simple and can haul four people in decent comfort, it was great. I'm convinced that on a nice day, the worst convertible is better than the best hard-topped car.

Sebring would be a perfect choice! A Turbo PT convertible would also be pretty fun. I have a 2010 Sebring touring with wheels and keyless top drop if she is interested in something newish. 5/100 warranty on the powertrain, car has 31,000 miles. There are hard top Sebring convertibles but they are hard to come by.
