Hey guys my name is Dan; junior SMAD major (converged media) and poli sci minor. I drive a 2010 Impreza 2.5i. Haven't done much work to it. Installed aftermarket sway bars in November (the 2010s don't even come with a rear sway). Also installed an AVO throttle controller because the stock setting on the throttle is crap. I have plans to do an intake and exhaust. I've heard rumors on forums about aftermarket intakes causing the new Imprezas to run rich, if anyone has more info on that it would be much appreciated.
If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour...you're gonna see some serious shit.

welcome. i think you're the 3rd N/A impreza here (me with an RS and Julie's outback). i can probably speak to a few questions you might have as i've been slowly tweaking mine for the last 3 years or so.
if you haven't i'd get a hold of a tactrix cable, a romraider tune (not sure if they have parameters for N/A's as new as yours), and either do alot of research or have someone tune your car. if it's like mine was, the stock tune is junk and it will make a difference to tune it. i was able to customize a number of other parameters aside from fuel tables (the main problem) while i was in there, like throttle sensitivity as well as fine tune the MAF for my intake in closed loop. you can read more in my
project thread.
my advice would be to run a hybrid intake (stock airbox, aftermarket tube from airbox to intake manifold) and a WRX intake duct if you won't have something similar. you'll get some power and lower intake temperatures for less money. tune for it to really take advantage of it.
what kind of exhaust work are you planning? catback or header too?
ultimately i'd encourage you to focus on the suspension. there is no real power to be had with our engines unfortunately, and it gets expensive since few people do it. but, you can take advantage of pretty much all the suspension goodies the turbo guys can use.

will post pics soon, im gonna get it washed while we have this nice weather then get some snapshots...thanks for your input scotty. ive been reading a lot on the nasioc forum about the n/a imprezas. most people there agree that the hybrid intake is the way to go on the newer models, any suggestions on where i should look to get parts? i also did some research a little while back on getting a tactrix and romraider tune, if i remember right it is possible to tune the 2010s, if not im willing to wait. rallitek offers a spring kit, so that may be a possibility in the near future.

no problem, subaru brethren unite! hybrid is definitely the way to go. i'd suggest looking on ebay for the cheapest CAI kit you can find for your car...all you're really looking for is a simple metal pipe to go between the airbox and intake mani. then be sure to get 2 silicone couplers for the connections and a saw/dremel to shorten the intake tube.
your car is different from mine (CANBUS vs. non or something of that nature) but Romraider should eventually have the ECU parameters for yours. You can find used cables in the NASIOC classifieds which will save you some money, just be sure to get the right one (or find someone local to borrow from). most importantly do lots of research since you can bork your ECU or engine with the wrong cable or tune, and if you're not comfortable doing things yourself find a reputable tuner.
springs - you don't necessarily need N/A springs (Rallitek is a nice resource for us N/A guys but don't think you need to buy exclusively from them). i'm not sure whats available for your model but RCE blacks are great as well as OEM STi springs or STi "pinks" for a daily driven car. shocks are as, or more important than springs so don't forget them either.
