Looks like there are some decent medium-high speed turns that might lead to some good passing opportunities in the second half of the lap. First half looks pretty boring though. Either way, 2012 isn't that far away, I'm still a bit skeptical that it will go down at all.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Haha, well played sir. Although, to be fair, Tilke designed Istanbul Circuit which is one of the best on the calendar right now. Not that it makes up for Shanghai, Malaysia, and Bahrain (although Malaysia is somewhat decent).

those flat esses after the first hairpin look like they'd make for some good drama considering what speeds they'd be up to by then.

i would like to have seen more sweepers instead of racing from one hairpin to the next 90 degree turn or vice versa. whatever, formula 1 in the US = Big Grin

this is probably a stupid question, but i'm assuming those aren't legit elevation changes and just to show the track in more of a 3d form than just a flat course drawing? considering that T1 looks like a rollercoaster hill.

It's supposed to have 131 ft of elevation change but yeah I think that rendering might be exaggerated on the vertical axis.

yikes, lots of 90+ degree corners. wouldnt be as fun to drive, but there will be more outbraking opportunities so should be more fun to watch
