Just emailed Laura to see what is still open, worker-wise. I'm planning on being there, hoping to bring some people while traveling in style with Responsible Bus 3.0...

EDIT: We have received full approval from Student Activites to request a van. Pending enough current student interest, Responsible Bus will be back... and to those meeting us at the track - that means no funny business this time, k?

There are also TWO flag trainee spots open if anyone is interested. I've emailed current/new people to let them know, so hopefully we'll get a good turnout from Harrisonburg and not just alumni!

For those that haven't been to the track or would be interested in working, this is a great opportunity to get the best seat in the house. The days can be long and boring (hopefully, which means its relatively incident-free for those out on track) but you get to see some very fast cars on a racetrack and not lined up in a parking lot with their hoods up. Oh and a little bit of spending $$ for weekends you work and free food and beer afterwards too :thumbup:

I'm coming down to flag and Ryan (Madden on the forum) is gonna be a flag trainee. Unfortunately this is also Family Weekend so a lot of the new people have parental units coming to the Burg.

So the students riding responsible bus - Jake, Kyle, Mike D, and Ryan? DJ, Kaan, Julie, Rex and Pete, I assume you all are working? (if you guys even check the forums anymore) Just trying to figure out the paddock situation.

I dont think it matters, but I wont be down there till probably 8 or 9, maybe even 10.

Not sure what the schedule is for the workers and trainees but as long as you're there before you're supposed to be, then you should be good. I usually like getting there sometime Friday late afternoon/early evening so I can set up my paddock spot and change out my brakes and wheels, maybe have a beer or two with whoever else is already there. I don't know many of the newbs/current students so if you see me, introduce yourself and say hi. I'll be driving the dark blue NB Miata, # 37X with the MM sticker on the back bumper.

Sorry dude, Rex and I will be in Sunny Florida vacationing, we leave Friday morning. Have fun, we'll send you all pictures from the beach.

Hey Maeng, can you get as close to the timing tower as possible? We usually get that corner on the first row right next to where Pete and Packer have their trailers. I might be there a lot later than I thought as a friend I havent seen in a year is having a bbq right after work so ill be killing 2 hours there and then heading down. Might not be there till midnight, 1 AM .
