maint will be depending on wear you go. properl cleaning after most rides, treat it like a dirt bike if you plan to use it correctly.
im not sure how awesome they would be here, all depends if oyu have a group that would ride w/ you through the cut of shennendoah or something, or getting to that awesome fishing spot.

specifically, i'm looking at something old, with little to no power, and less than $1500.
there is a '90 honda nx125 in "great shape" that i'm waiting on pics on cl... for $995 how could i go wrong assuming it runs? is 7hp far too little to have any fun on? plan is to basically use it as a scooter around town and maybe a handful of times per year, hit a trail.

i first learned on a yamaha xt225 - they should be pretty cheap and the one i rode on for the MSF was a lot of fun. apparently i didn't even know when i was popping wheelies - it was also air cooled if i remember correctly
