Paul's thread got me thinking.
I recently got a regular XBox with controllers and a few games (the Halo stuff is in there). So far I haven't found anything that used to draw me in the way Hitman 2 did, or Counterstrike (oh yeah, back in the day). I don't feel the need to have the latest and greatest, but I'd like to have some stuff I enjoy.
I got a couple steering wheels and a DVD remote from Rex, so that's covered, and I've got 4 regular corded controllers.
That said, what is everybody's favorite original xbox games and acessories? The stuff is so cheap now that I don't mind buying a few things... lets hear it.
Oh, also, what's the deal with plugging the internet into one: is it a pay service? Can I automatically join public games free? Etc. Please forgive my ignorance... I never really was a gamer.

XBox Live costs like, 5.99 a month in order to actually play games with other people.
You should look into the halflifes if you're looking for decent games to play...but I don't even know what your style is. What do you *like* to play? I thought Hitman sucked, so...

I tried Hitman 1 on computer and didn't enjoy it. But I enjoyed Hitman 2. Maybe I played that on PS2, though, I don't recall the console.
I've got one of the Half Lifes at home, but I never stuck it in because I figured it would play out like the computer version that I played until I was blue in the face.
I'd rather not play rpg games... but I'm pretty open, aside from that.

pretty much what everyone else said, Forza, and Fable was really good. Prince of Persia, Ninja Gaiden was good but hard as hell. Halo2 if you wanna play online, surprising amount of people still play it online even with halo 3 out. Was Oblivion, XBOX or 360??? i dont remember, but pretty descent, yet very repetitive.
oblivion is 360. unless you have college amounts of free time or are a complete loser, it sucks.

Hitman: Blood Money. The gameplay is fantastic, the score is great, and it blows Hitman 2 away. One of the most fun games I've ever played.
Also, Project Gotham Racing 2 has excellent graphics and is very fun, the Ghost Recon games are pretty good and challenging, Splinter Cell, etc. etc.
