Project Heep

So as some of you know I've always been a fan of trucks and off-roading and general activites outside of the concrete jungle. So I recently picked up a 92 Jeep Cherokee off a friend of mine. He gave me a great deal and the jeep runs great. The body is in rough shape but I could give a shit less, it's gonna spend it's time in the mud and not really be a DD. I used about half the money I got for my "pain and suffering" from my vw accident in august. It has a 3.5" lift and 31" tires, 4x4 and automatic with the 4.0L I-6.

Plans:
Replace the exhaust manifold
Install new bumpstops
Possibly put a bigger lift and 33" tires on it.
Paint it Olive Drab Green (already got a line on the paint) and paint everything chrome black.
Wheel the shit out of it.







I bought some extended bumpstops for lifted jeeps and put the rears on today. Putting the fronts on tomorrow.

Doors probably won't be coming off, at least not in the really near future. It's easy to take the doors off of one with no power options but this jeep has power windows and power locks, which adds a bit more of a mess to the job, but on down the road I may take them off.

So I was at work today and decided that the exterior of the jeep needed some work. That blue paint just wasn't cutting it, so I did a lil exterior mod after work. What do you think?

We go on a trail out past Rawley Springs and after all the mudholes, etc you have to drive through the river in 2 or 3 different spots to get back to 33. So the running river water cleans off your wheels and tires but isn't high enough to reach the body of the jeep. And the riverbed is so rocky that you can't really drive through it really fast to splash water everywhere....well you can but it probably wouldn't be a pleasant experience.
