Chick got hit by a bus on campus..

Any one see this or got any info, just curious. All i knwo is some chick got hit by a bus at the crosswalk at the book store and fredrickson. Supposedly was flown out.

Didn't see it happen but when i walked by around 12:15 there were still half a dozen cops doing accident recreation. Intersection all closed down, from what I heard it was a pretty serious collision.

Nearly all head traumas are airlifted out. My buddy was sent to UVA after a snowboarding fall. Rockingham is real bad.

ends up she was hit by a car, everyone assumed it was a bus because the bus was intentionally blocking both lanes of traffic so no one could go through. Pegasus (Medical Helicopter from UVA) landed on the field next to fredrickson dorm and airlifted her to UVA. Lots of people said she was on her cell and walked out in the corsswalk. Not the crosswalk at the intersections but the one just crossing next to the bookstore and that field.



And Rockingham is not a hospital, i went there for food poisoning and they kept interrogating me on what alcohol i had to drink and how much that night. I said 0 and i ate some bad McDonalds, because we had just finished my Business Plan for COB 300 at Midnight, and they gave me one bag of IV fluids and sent me out. 5 hours later im at UVA til 4am taking in 6 bags of IV fluids, the nurses at UVA even said that Rockingham was worthless.

I took an ex-gf there who was crazy drunk and they called the cops instead of treating her.

Yea--- It was a car, apparently someone with NY tags? Also- the girl is in apparently critical condition, not sure if she's going to make it--Last I heard.

It was a silver A4 and from what I heard it was a guy in Kappa Alpha. The girl lives on campus in Weaver hall so that means she was freshmen. I'll be sure to pass along any more info I get

I was there. Well I walked by immediately after the incident. It was sad.

She was on her bike and I believe she was hit by a silver audi a4. She was unconcious when i walked by her. I looked like she suffered some sever head trauma. Her head was discolored. She was not moving eyes were closed and people were around her. It looked like a guy to me though. She was wrapped in coats and blankets I guess to keep her warm. I did not see a helmet anywhere near her or around her.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

But seriously, I hope she's ok. Honestly, I'm surprised there aren't more people getting hit by HBurg traffic considering how shitty it is.

I lived in fredrickson freshman year, and that cross walk might as well not exist. In fact, I would bet that 90% of the drivers at JMU don't know that if a pedstrian is in a cross walk they legally have to stop the car, not just avoid them.

technically, you're required to yield, not stop. i think the house of delegates is trying to get that changed to a full stop though, especially after this incident in charlottesville earlier this month:

-guy in wheelchair gets a ticket for crossing without a signal and failure to yield since his wheelchair is considered a motor vehicle.

Id certainly question the officer's situational awareness if he couldnt see the guy, but the gimp was at fault.
