So, what are you guys going to do with your $600? They want us to "spend the money quickly and jolt the ailing economy to life". Hey, you know what? Why don't you just tax us all 100% and just cut us checks every year for equal amounts of whatever you feel is appropriate after spending most of it on glorious government achievements?
Well I'll be happy to spend it on something that will help our economy while also exercising my 2nd amendment rights for the first time. You know, before they decide we don't need that right anymore. Please join me, buy yourself a gun.
"June Handgun Sales Unexplainably up 150%". I think that would be a nice message!

freakin sweet. I'll give you $50 of mine if you really get that so it's purely government funded. Jess and I are probably just going to get a small revolver of some sort. Maybe two now.

I really like the idea... buying a gun with it, I mean. I've never owned a gun but as a good libertarian I should probably have one to exercise my right? I've been eyeing the Benelli Nova for awhile, is there an MSF for gun ownership?

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

That's not the cap, just where it starts getting phased out. Individuals with incomes up to $87k and couples up to $174k will get partial rebates.

These are entitlement payments, not tax rebates. The only catch is that it comes out of next year's refund. I'm insulted that our government thinks this will benefit the economy - it'll cost twice as much in the long run and our economy will crash all that much harder. It's obvious that no politicians pay attention to real economics anymore and instead use call their the popularism as "economic plans."

OT, I know... but this has already been bastardized into a gun thread.

Just searched...wow. That seems like a lot of free money.
