Had he stepped down say 2 or 3 months ago el presidente could say he's making some changes and adjustments and it would've taken a lot of the heat off. With the races as close as they are that could've made a difference.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Something tells me it wasnt exactly stepping down because it's what he really wanted to do. I think after how the election turned out yesterday Bush might have actually realized that not a lot of people ar ehappy with the job Rumsfeld is doing, it's also some what of a sign that he might work with a democratic congress rather than fight it for the next two years.

The senate and house going to the dems may actually help the repubs keep the prez. I still think its going to democrat though.
I think next term would be good to have a moderate democrat in office and I would probably vote that direction. The problem is that the democrats dont really know what "moderate" means. Ex: Leiberman.
11-09-2006, 11:09 AM
Leiberman is a fucking dolt.
I'd vote for McCain in a heartbeat, even if Bush has tained the Republican party for me.
