Hey ViPER1313!
I just recently joined and just thought I'd drop a line, cause I saw that MMsports sticker on your window
I saw ya earlier tonite I was in that Dark Cherry Metallic '96 Impala SS comin up port republic rd.
I like the ride man!
I think our rides share a certain sleeper factor, urs more then mine, that and performance is pretty similar too.

But I really appreciate Taurus SHOs cause like the 94-96 Impala SS's they were a rare breed!
ViPER1313: Also noticed u have Silverstars how much brighter then stock headlights? im thinkin bout upgrading my headlights
HAH, also thinkin about puttin wig-wags front and back! Hey they're legal as long as im parked. lol
Probably scare the shit out of some people in cars if i did it in parking lot too

You'll see that everything ended up being fine except for a 2in long scuff on my rims edge, but damn am i still frustrated with myself for not getting myself out of an overcorrected fishtail recovery, or just not have been a showoff and not have done that at all!

WTF mate? I know I'm a little out of the loop when it comes to luxo sleeper barges, but this sounds like some kind of new drug you can get on a corner from Bubb Rubb. "I scored some wig-wags last night"
the whistles go woo-woooooo

u know wig-wags headlight flashers and taillight flashers like when a policeman goes to pull you over, those so i could flip a switch and my headlights and taillights could do samething

Welcome man, nice to see an LT1 in the club, makes me miss mine.
2010 Dodge Ram 1500
2019 Ford Mustang
I had Silverstars in my old WRX, and I would highly recommend against them. They look cool, but they burn out WAY too often. Go on Ebay or look online for OSRAM Silverstars, which are the British version of them. They are MUCH better and last way longer... although they're a bit more expensive. If you get the US version Silverstars, you'll be replacing them quite frequently... I went through one every 2 or 3 months.
Welcome to the club!

Just like Thayer has on the Supra!
Sort of.
The Impala goes whoo-woooo!
1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442
Okay well price is not too much of an issue cause the other bulbs i was looking at are PIAA Super White Pluses in 9004 and can get them $64 and thats a deal!
But I will also look at these brit versions as you suggested
Also there now is a Silverstar Ultra at least in 9004 not heard much on it or seen them, but if i goto website they are now what is apparently the brightest at least from that company.
Hey Ryan: Yea, I love this car, used to have a 1986 Lincoln Continental and this Impala SS is way nicer both comfort and of course power!
What kinda LT1 did ya have? Camaro?

mmmm.... Impala SS
My first car was a 1981 Caprice Classic w/ new black paint, chrome trim and chrome wire wheels. Such a great car, I still have a soft spot for caprices.
welcome!
Hah, nice car, my Dad has exactly the same thing... I love it.
Welcome!
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

Yea this car is seriously my dream car to have since i started driving and I still get excited when i see her, cant believe i already got one!
But yea I love the 94-96 Caprice 9C1s or LTZs with LT1s too!
Yea i recognize that pic from Lingenfelter which i was thinkin about eventually doing but after much research and questioning on NAISSO forums decided its cheaper to go new 383 or 396 shortblock and certain brand head/cam package or just do head/cam package on my exsisting LT1 350 block and should be able to get up around 350-375 RWHP that way!
My goal for the car is to get somewhere in mid-high 12s to low 13s in quarter mile time and get there without usin crazy cam thats not emission passable or with crazy lope. Definitely will be awhile before that major mod of course though!
At the moment next mods are 2.5" mandrel-bent dual exhaust (and acutally one that uses h or x-pipe) and also a tune from PCMforless.com! (You should see this crappy stock dual exhaust its supposed to be 2.25" dual but many places its crimped and probably maybe 2" and doesnt have balance/crossover tube of any kind!

Ohh just wanted to mention that for everything, frt wigwag system, rear wig-wag system, and install kits for both, pricing isnt very bad either.
At Galls (a well known Police/emergency supplier) its only $127.40 for my car and should be same parts for all other domestic vehicles and for imports pricing should be about the same with just diff front and rear wig-wag part#s
ALSO my new gauge overlay should be in on Friday!!! Im excited it will match my 3 a-pillar ultra-lite gauges since face is also in Silver and blue backlit.
Will also be getting a blue neon trim for dash area pretty sharp looking i think!
Here is link to another SS that has same gauge face and neon, just mine will be silver instead of his white faced overlay:

Dunno where you're from, but I know a place in roanoke that'll weld and bend you a 2.5" system - cash job, but its at a reputable shop. I supplied them with the mufflers and a universal X-pipe and I think they did it for about 400$. Way better deal than trying to buy a whole kit from online.

On the way back from VIR, in our rental Impala, I commented that Impalas used to be cool back in the SS days. Ryan was certain they'd always been a piece of shit but I assured him they were once serious pimpmobiles.
I won't recreate the Applebee's "Holla... in the back of my Impala..." scene for you.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
My opinion remains that they were never really cool, 500hp or not.
20 ft long, 5,000 lb land barges dont do anything for me.
