At 1100 hp, it is now the worlds most powerful road-legal production vehicle, and is said to be also the quickest 0-60. Behold the new king

Thank you Big Grin

Yes, it has big numbers. But it obviously, as I stated, has broken several records with such numbers. Look for this to be the new record holder for the 0-100-0 competition (which Carrol Shelby himself went after with his 750hp Vortech SC Cobra). Thats why I posted this...the performance, not the numbers.

Alright alright, no more uber-horsepower cars  I am personally fascinated by high power cars, usable or not, its the technical aspect that gets me.

I'm giving my second car presentation tomorrow, on the Datsun Z cars. My first was on the 830hp twin turbo Ferrari F50. See where I'm getting at? Down to earth.....a little. I'm actually a big fan of the Honda CRX, if that helps. I guess I dream a little too much, and I get why I shouldn't share that all the time. My apologies Big Grin

Do not get disappointed by these guys. ITs fun to put up that shit and continue doing it please. We all need to be exposed to different cars.

Andy can make his comments, but it doesnt reflect all of us. Its his own opinions, oh I bet someone will take this post the wrong way, but it really shouldnt.

Dream on man, dream on. I like your posts, but goddamn that cobra is useless on the street. Honestly, im more impressed by cars that are clean, well-built, and NOT over-built. Something unique, horsepower isnt really unique anymore (thats weird to say)

Some of us appreciate the posts including me.

Right, and we can all express them. If most of us aren't leghumping the car that was posted then dont let it hurt y'alls feelings Wink

If I think something is stupid, then I'll call it as such. If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck.....

Take this car for example. With a 13 liter engine under the hood and all that weight over the front axle its going to handle like shit. And with all that power, you're going to destroy driveline components and good luck keeping the thing cooled for anything other than a dyno or 1/4 mile pass on a cool day - not to mention being completely unable to put any of that power to the rear wheels.

Quote:Additionally, its body is deep drawn from carbon composite materials for maximum rigidity

"Deep Drawn"? Sounds like something that maeng's mom gets. And on a Cobra replica, the body panels arent structural components, so making them out of carbon fiber or paper mache doesnt affect the rigidity of the chassis.

And seriously, wtf does this mean?

Quote:Single wheel suspension including a continuously variable coil spring system

I believe its called a "word salad". None of it makes sense and I really hope that you've got suspension on all 4 wheels.

At any rate, the car is an engineering disaster, and the article is a literary one.

We all like different cars but it can be a bit much. We all get our interest in cars from someplace, and I'm sympathetic to that but dyno racing is gay, and throwing numbers around is even worse. If I wanted to read about these terribly impressive cars, I'd subscribe to Import Tuner and paint my car pink.
