Offroading in the GW forrest (pics)

My freinds from home, Jeff ( white jeep) and Cj (flat black pickup) brought out their Jeeps. went to meet up with about 40-50 jeeps form the nova jeep club. split into groups and did some low key not to fun trail riding. then at lunch we split off and went on our own and got into some fun. Cj got stuck 2 times, once hydrolocking the motor after going through like 6 feet deep of water. lucky didnt to to much harm. took out plus and sprayed the water out. 2 hours later got car winched out of the water hole, 1 bent wheel and a flat tire, bent fenders, bent bumper, broken windsheild, interior soaked with water etc etc. good time. awesome time.. we are all rednecks for life now and selling our VW's hahaha

lifted trucks are ok for towing only problem is rigging up the hitch in order to tow the trailer.

I go off-roading some times in my home town. Used to take the truck out on the back end of our farm land when we still owned it. Being nestled inbetween 5 different mountains reallys pays off when you want to go mudding. I'm not a big fan of rock crawling, too easy to catch your diff on a rock..but mudding/trail riding is fun as shit!

AMC was one of the best buys Chrysler ever made. The Jeep is a fun little vehicle..in all its types. I like me some muddin and trail runnin every now and again. The few times I have ever done it were in 4X2s...now that is a wild ride. Try takin a D-50 though a mudhole like that! Make sure you have a friend with a winch.

man, that was the june '03 event at summit. i bought my car on 5/29/03. i think the car was like 3 weeks old when i did that. its still muddy on the underside but ah well, it was a lot of fun

yea thats the hole he hydrolocked the motor in.. water was way over the hood.. we were almost out when the motor shut off.. it was easy 6 feet of water.. werent expecting it at all. haha
