i know i love watching it, but if you've never seen it i suggest tuning in. What i would give to be able to come away with one car from this place. This year they are selling the first 2006 Shelby GT500. But if you get the Speed Channel tune in at 7pm on Tuesday the 16th. Ill be watchin, you can also do fantasy bidding online as the auction is happening on certain cars. By the way last year 1 of 3 Harley Earl original concept cars went for 3 million, its the only surviving one of the 3 the others were crushed. pretty pimp.

I remember watching that. That was the biggest waste of 3 million dollars I've ever seen. That car was ugly as sin and gayer than an episode of Queer Eye. That young guy in the Ferrari gear that bought it is building a car museum it sounds like; I can't see anyone buying a shitty car like that for any other reason than just to say " I have the only one of these left ever." Was it not a Chrysler if I remember correctly?

The XP-20 project, commonly known as F-88 was a pet project of Harley Earl (working with him was Bill Mitchell, Ken Pickering, Zora Duntov etc.). Four cars came out of the project, but only styling order #2265 (this car) survived. It was sold or given to E.L. Cord (Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg owner) in 1955. Hundreds of internal GM documents and original blue prints are still with this sole survivor.

yeah the guy was there buying cars for the museum him and a few of his "investors" are building. I just find it exciting and love seeing the old birtish roadsters. I remember one year where Reggie Jackson sold off some of his collection of Ferraris. They were amazing.

Reggie actually sold some? Usually he has them on the block with some retarded high reserve...just to show them off and get an idea of what he could get for them
