Hey all, November approaches.
We have a meeting November 2nd which may be the last one before Turducken (if there is one this year). I was just wondering if anyone has any info; RJ? I know DJ mentioned having it at his place, I'm not sure if that has changed because of recent events, but that may be kind of a hike.
Anyway, any information would be greatly appreciated so we can try to get as many students out as possible.
November 19-26 is JMU's thanksgiving break.
NASA MA Fall Finale is November 12-13.
The suggestion of my place was dismissed. You would have to contact Kaan to see if he wanted to host it if you wanted it closer.

I'm down to have it at my house on the weekend of the 19-20 if we can get that going.
Or as Jake has suggested, we plan for a Turducken in January?

I'd go to the burg Taylor. I'm down.
2013 Honda Fit, 1991 Mazda Miata, Princess Blanca, Mystery, 1993 Volvo 940 - sold, 2003 Mazda Protoge5 - carmax'd, 1996 BMW 328is - sold, 1996 Honda Accord - sold
I could host, but I have the feeling even fewer students would want to come to Troutville. I'll certainly come to hburg and help wreck your place Taylor if the timing happens to work out!

I'm debating on broaching the subject with the better half, maybe offer my place for dinner in bridgewater and shenanigans somewhere else afterwards? What day were you guys looking at? or is it still tbd?
Whatever day works for whoever wants to host. Jake and I were discussing it and a date after we get back from Christmas break would also work.

What day were you guys looking at? or is it still tbd? That'd be fun Dave! I think the 19th is too soon now for people who aren't local... Maybe December or January?
Now:

Then:
87 BMW 325e | 91 BMW 535i | 96 BMW 328i | 95 BMW 325i | 95 Mazda Miata | 13 Focus ST | 09 BMW 128i | 00 Pontiac Firebird | 05 Yukon Denali | 96 BMW 328iC | 11 Ford F-150 | 06 BMW M3 | 10 Range Rover SC | '03 Ford Ranger | '18 Ford F-150 | '01 BMW X5 | '98 Volvo S70 T5M
If Turkducken is done in the H'burg area this year, and anybody needs a place to crash, let me know. I'm not particularly close to Bridgewater but I won't charge as much as a hotel either.

Thanks to Taylor for reminding me about this. We can host here in Bridgewater.
For dates, either February 11th or 18th (both Saturday's) seem open here. I'm not sure what the school calendar looks like for students and people that might travel in, but if those are generally worse than better for people, we can look at some other days. Can we add a poll to the thread for date votes?
The one house rule I'd ask we keep is holding language to a G rating, due to little ones around. It might work out to have an after party somewhere else (aka Taylor's place), so feel free to unleash your pent up four letter words there. =) Speaking of kids, those of you with them are more than welcome to bring them along, we've got 3/6/9 yr olds here and plenty of stuff for them to play with.
Logistically, I've got a one tap kegerator that I'll fill with something, there are two ovens, 4 stove burners and an oldass microwave if needed. There's a grill and covered deck, and a small fire pit we can have going if the weather works.
I too have a keg(full size) we can fill, I just need a tap. Current student date is not as important as the alums, so I'd appreciate if the alums would be vocal in planning this date.

Either works for me, I'll bring Hannah if I have her that weekend.

Sounds good so far! Taylor, I can probably get my hands on a party pump, or maybe I'll build a secondary tap off of my setup, we'll see how ambitious I get.
Any other votes on the day? If we can get it locked in by Friday this week, that'll still give 3-4 weeks to figure out the details.

I'm good with either date, happy to bring whatever food I can (and would eagerly rip burnouts in the E30, too).

I personally vote for the 11th.

Hell yeah! Well maybe, I live between two cops so I might have to call in a robbery or something on the other side of town to clear the neighborhood first.
There is an air strip just on the other side of the river from us, just sayin is all.
