I know it's a little earlier than usual, but I figured I'd start the thread and get things rolling. After our first meeting last night, it seems like we have quite the interest from new members who want to check out VIR. We can coordinate the car pool here assuming the n00bs make accounts and start posting.
Ill be heading down Thursday or Friday and staying through Sunday. Perks of no Friday class and no class Monday until 2:30.
Who's in? Coordinate food for grilling Saturday?

At this point, the only question is if Max is going to make it. I really want to bring him out but grid is a hard position for it as I'm not allowed to leave like at all during the day. I will keep thinking it over as Max loves meeting new people and is even good meeting new dogs now. (He never had any problems with MM dogs at the car show though)
Maybe Cooper needs something to do and wants to dog sit :grin:

Probably out for this one. Wife is out of town all week and gets back late Friday, and there is a JMU home game that Sat (Season tickets), already missed one game this year. So August may have been my last one.
I'm in for this one, and I can give 2 normal/3 small people a ride down around 3 or so Friday.

To sum it up: Rain race on sunday, only other competitor slid off into the gravel early on in the race, not enough people for contingency and already won the 2013 regional = Dj being a donkey and trying to see how fast he could drift all of Summit Point Raceway. Added a bit more angle each lap, coming around turn 10 sideways and hit a flat spot of sealant - instantly went way too sideways. Burned off enough speed before hitting grass, but still hit the tirewall doing 20-30mph on inside of turn 10. Thatll teach me, I am just really pissed cause no one caught pictures of me doing some awesome 60-70mph drifts through turn 3/7/8/9.
