Update the front page

Yeah its getting a bit stale.

If any of you current officers want help sticking something on there, both Jake and I are WordPress nerds and can walk you through updating it if you're unsure about it. Its pretty easy stuff though.

Hah, we have the same issue with our actual website, ours is already out of date and we just updated it semi-recently.

Jon and I have been Poking Tyler relentlessly about this- Trust me we have a boat load of news and stuffz to write about and make the front page HUGE.

Hmm, lessee, since the Atom tour we've had:

- Summit Nov.
- Turducken
- DC Auto Show
- VIR Feb

And announcements of Drifters of December, Karting @ Allsports, BRR SCCA, Karting @ G-Force, the Spring Motorshow and so on.

TONS of stuff. Don't just post up what you've done (past tense), but what the club has done (maybe what some individual members do) and will be doing.

I mean hell, put anything up, even if its Nyan cat, just so our last post isn't from last year. Where is our PR/Sec?

Just put a list of upcoming events at the very least.

"There is a meeting this week"

"Check out this cool In Car video from VIR February"

"Hey everyone, 2 weeks til Karting, sign up here "Insert Link", here are pics/videos from out last trip"

I know FB is a better way to communicate on a day to day. But I feel like an update needs to happen at the very least Bi-weekly. It can be a really simple update. This will also help if someone new checks out our website, and they will see we are actively doing things.

Also just noticed the "Contact" page has last years officers.

The list I created in the blast e-mail of all the set dates and events for the semester (5 or 6 i believe?) which we've had since the first week of classes and distributed via blast e-mail for the first two months at least 3 times from what I recall should be on the front page- all he has to do is find the e-mail and copy paste.

It would be cool to see a box on the right hand side of the front page with a list of upcoming events and a link back from each one to the thread on the forum. I think that'd be handy to have pics and separate box aside from them with dates and such.

OK, Goodspeed angry. We're starting to disseminate fliers all over the place about the car show telling people to check mmsports.org for more info, and our main page is STILL from last year.

Also, there's even a WordPress app for your smartphone. This is like, massively easy to work on from anywhere.
