I only have half a weekend's credits, how do I pay the other 150?
awesome DJ, it'll be great to have you out there. camping is allowed, but i dont think it'll be hard to find floor space.

Feersty Wrote:Floor space is probably most desirable for those doing HPDEs, ask Maeng.
Let's talk about this floor space thing for a second. Rob, this isn't directed at you, I only quoted it b/c you said it, in fact it isn't directed at anyone, more of an observation.
If you intend to sleep in a worker room and are NOT working, please be considerate (do that even if you are working) of those that have the RIGHT to that room. Working isn't easy, you stand around all day in the sun, watching people have all the fun/glory then you get to do it all over again the next day. Not getting a good nights sleep makes for miserable days. I don't stay up until 1am drinking and get up at 6am for the track anymore, maybe it's that whole 30yr old thing (even though I'm 26...), but would it really be a streatch for those that are driving to maybe get their own room and split it? I know going to the track isn't cheap, believe me, I know, but I have always managed to get my own room except for once where we put 9 people or so in a Shoney's worker room several years ago. Cramming a bunch of people into 1 room to save $25 isn't going to make for a good nights sleep for anyone, no matter what you say. Sleep is something you will wish you had as you space out and go flying into a gravel trap or fall asleep on grid the next day or get sick from exhaustion.
So please, be considerate if you intend to 'grab floor space' in a worker room, prepare to goto bed WHEN THE WORKERS DO, don't use their towels, don't make a bunch of noise during the night, pick your shit up, don't take their pillow's and for gods sake, if you snore, get some breath right's.

You will also need idustrial strength ear plugs....
I slept in a room with Rich and Kaan once. Never again.
Chad - I hope I didnt bother you & Christina coming into the room a bit late and getting up @ 5:30 to go work tech (or rather, wait in the lobby after Kaan left my ass at the hotel on both days).

Not at all, you were a great roommate, even Christina said so. Also, you were entitled to be in that room. You didn't really come to the room late so much as we went to bed early! . My post didn't have much to do with this weekend. It's just at every event I see people just assuming they can treat a worker room as a MM room and assume they can use it as well.
The return to the room 3 times Sunday AM creaped us out a little though hock:

And yea, I think next time I do another Summit or any track event Id just get a hotel room for the weekend - NASA discount is where its at.

I only have half a weekend's credits, how do I pay the other 150? You can camp at Summit any weekend. The good showers are by timing and scoring.
