FS: 1994 Celica Racecar

$600!!!!

Now that I have your attention. First off, this isn't a road race car, yet. A friend of mine from Toyota built this car to compete on the little oval at Shenandoah speedway in the new import series this year. He has decimated all of the competition, typically lapping many of his competitors and always having a huge margin of time.
I don't have all of the specifics on the car. I'm pretty sure that the suspension and brakes are all stock, and the engine is also "stock". However, I know for a fact that the car is mechanically sound and ready to race. For $600, it will not come with a seat, but it already has a roll cage, although I'm not sure if it won't need some modification to road race, a new paint job, it is already gutted completely, and has a set of almost brand new Hoosiers which he said are worth $600 alone. The car looks in really good shape and apparently is crazy fast.
This might be a great starter car for anybody looking to get into any kind of racing and it is apparently a ton of fun to drive. I would have already bought it if I had the room and wanted a FWD car. The only reason he is getting rid of it is b/c apparently the import class didn't take off this year as well as anticipated, and he car will be obsolete in October, so he wants to build a domestic car so he can play some more.[/b]

i don't have any pictures. Just look up 94 celica and imagine a clean white car.

yeah, i geuss fast is a frame of reference. It's not a one-off 1 million hp suby, but this should be comparable to any of the low hp turds that most of us drive around :-)

ha, i think it'd be fun to try circle track, especially in something thats only $600 so you wouldnt care too much when you've got donuts on your door. if this were the all-trac, i'd be very interested. but then again, if it were the all-trac, it probably wouldnt be $600

Well, yes. My comment was more a "alltrac" comment than a "this celica" comment. If I had 600 bucks, this'd be sold.

I think the phrase "crazy fast" just kind of threw me off. That would be like my friend saying his daughter's Barbie Power Wheels was silly stupid crazy fast when he modified the power lever to go down a little further.

I know what Dave was saying, I understand the relativity of it =p
My perception of "fast" is way different than that sellers though. You can get your body smashed back into the seat and have the blood rush out of your legs in a 400whp, 500whp, or 600whp car just as you can in a funny car or a 1560hp Supra.... it's just going to be a WEE bit more pronounced in those dragsters than the street car :lol:

I actually think takeoff in a commercial airliner is pretty damn impressive. Ill take my slow little miata and then take a trip somewhere when I need that pres-back-in-my-seat feeling :p

yeah, you could say that. These are the ones with the 4 round headlights up front, IIRC; not the flip-up headlights. She should still buy it, it's a stellar deal!

Probably about 15 seconds feersty. Thats a lot of weight to get moving. The runway at roanoke was about a mile long, and it took probably 20 seconds and half the runway to get off.
