FS: 1994 Celica Racecar - Dave - 07-25-2006 $600!!!! Now that I have your attention. First off, this isn't a road race car, yet. A friend of mine from Toyota built this car to compete on the little oval at Shenandoah speedway in the new import series this year. He has decimated all of the competition, typically lapping many of his competitors and always having a huge margin of time. I don't have all of the specifics on the car. I'm pretty sure that the suspension and brakes are all stock, and the engine is also "stock". However, I know for a fact that the car is mechanically sound and ready to race. For $600, it will not come with a seat, but it already has a roll cage, although I'm not sure if it won't need some modification to road race, a new paint job, it is already gutted completely, and has a set of almost brand new Hoosiers which he said are worth $600 alone. The car looks in really good shape and apparently is crazy fast. This might be a great starter car for anybody looking to get into any kind of racing and it is apparently a ton of fun to drive. I would have already bought it if I had the room and wanted a FWD car. For anybody that is interested, feel free to PM, IM, or email me, or go ahead and give Chris Headman a call at 540-421-2342. He's a great stand-up guy and he will be straightforward about any questions you have. The only reason he is getting rid of it is b/c apparently the import class didn't take off this year as well as anticipated, and he car will be obsolete in October, so he wants to build a domestic car so he can play some more.[/b] - Evan - 07-25-2006 pix i wanna go circle track racin' earl! - CaptainHenreh - 07-25-2006 Somebody wanna loan me 600 bucks? - WRXtranceformed - 07-25-2006 A FWD gutted 90s Celica with stock suspension and engine with different tires is fast? I guess fast is subjective 8) - Dave - 07-26-2006 i don't have any pictures. Just look up 94 celica and imagine a clean white car. yeah, i geuss fast is a frame of reference. It's not a one-off 1 million hp suby, but this should be comparable to any of the low hp turds that most of us drive around :-) - Maengelito - 07-26-2006 ha, i think it'd be fun to try circle track, especially in something thats only $600 so you wouldnt care too much when you've got donuts on your door. if this were the all-trac, i'd be very interested. but then again, if it were the all-trac, it probably wouldnt be $600 - Feersty - 07-26-2006 road legal? Yeah alltrac FTW. - CaptainHenreh - 07-26-2006 Feersty Wrote:road legal? Yeah alltrac FTW. You should buy it, Mr. "CelicaRacer31". Alltrac is overrated. God help you should you grenade something transmission related. - Maengelito - 07-26-2006 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Feersty Wrote:road legal? Yeah alltrac FTW. for $600 who gives a shit. push it off a cliff. - CaptainHenreh - 07-26-2006 Maengelito Wrote:CaptainHenreh Wrote:Feersty Wrote:road legal? Yeah alltrac FTW. Well, yes. My comment was more a "alltrac" comment than a "this celica" comment. If I had 600 bucks, this'd be sold. - Evan - 07-26-2006 WRXtranceformed Wrote:A FWD gutted 90s Celica with stock suspension and engine with different tires is fast?fast is relative. in this case, relative to the class competition. just like a funny car or eleventy billion hp supra makes your car look slow - Maengelito - 07-26-2006 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Maengelito Wrote:CaptainHenreh Wrote:Feersty Wrote:road legal? Yeah alltrac FTW. word. i agree - WRXtranceformed - 07-26-2006 Evan Wrote:Right, so it's the fastest of the slow racecars 8)WRXtranceformed Wrote:A FWD gutted 90s Celica with stock suspension and engine with different tires is fast?fast is relative. in this case, relative to the class competition. I think the phrase "crazy fast" just kind of threw me off. That would be like my friend saying his daughter's Barbie Power Wheels was silly stupid crazy fast when he modified the power lever to go down a little further. I know what Dave was saying, I understand the relativity of it =p My perception of "fast" is way different than that sellers though. You can get your body smashed back into the seat and have the blood rush out of your legs in a 400whp, 500whp, or 600whp car just as you can in a funny car or a 1560hp Supra.... it's just going to be a WEE bit more pronounced in those dragsters than the street car  - Evan - 07-26-2006 WRXtranceformed Wrote:and then the space shuttle comes and fucks everyones shit up! :lol:Evan Wrote:Right, so it's the fastest of the slow racecars 8)WRXtranceformed Wrote:A FWD gutted 90s Celica with stock suspension and engine with different tires is fast?fast is relative. in this case, relative to the class competition. I actually think takeoff in a commercial airliner is pretty damn impressive. Ill take my slow little miata and then take a trip somewhere when I need that pres-back-in-my-seat feeling :p - Feersty - 07-26-2006 Which brings up a question. How fast does a 737 do the quarter in? - WRXtranceformed - 07-26-2006 Evan Wrote:Ill take my slow little miata and then take a trip somewhere when I need that pres-back-in-my-seat feeling :pOr just come down to P-ville dude  Erm, as long as I don't break something else..... - Gs dewd - 07-29-2006 Hmm if it was a 93 my girlfriend would have bought it. Thats the one that looks like a baby supra right? - Dave - 07-30-2006 yeah, you could say that. These are the ones with the 4 round headlights up front, IIRC; not the flip-up headlights. She should still buy it, it's a stellar deal! - Gs dewd - 08-01-2006 I was looking for a bodt for here to transplat all her crap from hers into. She wreck hers and it has a bent frame. - HAULN-SS - 08-01-2006 Probably about 15 seconds feersty. Thats a lot of weight to get moving. The runway at roanoke was about a mile long, and it took probably 20 seconds and half the runway to get off. |
