basicly its the 2ltr block with everything fully lightened(or replaced with lighter and better),ballenced and flowed,motec ecu,gt3040 tubby span 45 for flow, dog box, seam welded and caged interiour, 150 shot ,os giken twin plate, 180 diffs, 15"wheels with micky thompson rubber,ohlins shocks

theres loads more but thats the gist of it most of the engine parts were built to matts specification

Apparently the guy's entire family drives rally cars, so I'm sure he does a bit of that too. But with that setup I doubt he's doing much rallying in that car.

I think it's kind of funny too how he went through all the trouble of installing that custom roll cage for safety reasons, then he doesn't fasten his seatbelt.... :lol:

You would definitely not like the sound of my STi then.

My old WRX had a great boxer rumble with the Magnaflow muffler, sounded very mean. Once you replace the headers though it changes the sound completely. The only words I can think of to describe the sound of the STi's exhaust is "pissed off."

I swear - Shep ran a single 7.9xx second run, get off his nuts. Most of his runs are in the mid to high 8s. Yes, it's impressive to run 7s in a DSM, we get it. It gets old having the same link posted whenever someone else posts another car's drag run.

Be serious Adam. You either don't understand the transition he made in both tires and fuel, or don't understand what that means to his consistancy.

Sure he only put together a few solid runs...but if you were spinning all four wheels through the first two gears you wouldn't be hitting 7's every pass either.

I wasn't trying to take anything away from what Shep is doing, nor am I trying to say that it's the fastest thing in the world (nor the fastest Subaru for that matter).

I just thought the AWD torque steer was funny because it's vaguely reminiscent
