I agree with Rex. They all have their unique characteristics. I have just as much fun in my FWD car as anyone has in their RWD car. Maybe FWD suck balance wise, but any car is fun to drive if you want it to be.

i've only had FWD, but i've had good experiences with the others.

depending on what i want at that time, i'd take any of them, all at once!

"FWD understeers"
"RWD oversteers"

are about the most ignorant statments you can make in the car world

given the choice, on track Ill take a balanced RWD car.

I recently purchased my first RWD this past summer and I gotta say it's a lot of fun eventhough my Prelude had ~80 whps advantage on the MR2. RWD isn't necessarily better for an experienced driver but for a novice or someone who is starting to learn how to properly drive, RWD is a great helper.

i'll put it this way:

Blondes - FWD
Brunettes - AWD
RedHeads - RWD[/quote]

How about this - a brunette in a loose RWD?

No, but really, going from my old celica FWD (not alltrac unfortunately) which I managed to peel out in despite a measely like 120 bhp, to the IS300 RWD was a much better switch for me. I peeled out first time I drove it (oops), and make a purpose of squealing the tires (requires the slightest touch on the throttle) at least each time I drive somewhere, gas shortage or not. Big Grin

Looks like Scotty was the first one in the club to have an anthracite vehicle, not Dave. Wink

My brother and I didn't have big wheels like that when we were little. Since we lived on a farm with ~80ish acres we had big 4x4 looking electric 3-wheelers. Get those things rolling quickly down a grassy hill, run through a little cow shit (by accident of course) and you could slide a good 20 feet. Those things used to scare the bejesus out of our cattle (actually, just about anything scares cattle.)

man o man i remember big wheels, i had this pimp transformer one that you could move parts on the handle bars and it would make it look like a robot with lazars guns - that thing was the best. Did any of you guys have power wheels, I had a "big foot" one that thing was deff the best first car ever
