In interest for the FWD/RWD/AWD post.....a POLL! - Dew_Junkie - 09-08-2005 Which one do you like better?? Let's settle this one. - Sijray21 - 09-08-2005 the only taste of RWD i've had is my mom's z3 2.8L, test drove an M-roadster, test drove a 350z, and the karts at g-force and all-sports. I love RWD, it's a LOT of fun. i think each of them has their purpose. I like the awd R32 from VW and the audi a4's. I like the FWD of my vw and honda/acura's. I think the most fun resides in the RWD drivetrain though as most people will agree. On track i'd prefer FWD simply because i've never really owned or driven RWD for an extended period of time. I can't handle rwd at the moment . So i'd rather not put the car in the wall or put me in the hospital due to my lack of experience. I need to drive a rwd car for a while before i take a rwd on the track.
- Feersty - 09-08-2005 I have driven a number of RWD vehicles and have absolutely loved every experience: S2000(2005) 330Ci 330i IS 300 545i 745Li S 500 S-10 LS430 SC430 Mustang GT X5(lol) So I voted for RWD. Not sure how it is in less than perfect conditions, which is the only aspect that makes a tad bit apprehensive about them
- CaptainHenreh - 09-08-2005 I don't like this question for reasons I stated in the other post. Every driveline orientation has it's tradeoff. - ScottyB - 09-08-2005 well....there isn't much to be settled really. everyone has their preferences, and everyone enjoys a different driving experience. - .RJ - 09-08-2005 Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads? - JashGTP - 09-08-2005 i currently have a fwd car...but i love it ... sure i love smokin the hell out of my tires my rwd 70 mustang but the handleing characteristics in and out of turns with the fwd are unique and fun - Sijray21 - 09-08-2005 .RJ Wrote:Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads? yes - all of the above  - .RJ - 09-08-2005 Precisely. If its got wheels, drive it
- Sijray21 - 09-08-2005 theguywiththeSi Wrote:.RJ Wrote:Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads? i'll put it this way: Blondes - FWD Brunettes - AWD RedHeads - RWD - Mike - 09-08-2005 rwd no doubt. - lyltoy - 09-08-2005 theguywiththeSi Wrote:theguywiththeSi Wrote:.RJ Wrote:Blondes, Brunettes or Redheads? i guess this means i got the best of both worlds...a red head and RWD
- Ryan T - 09-08-2005 rear wheel drive hands down. I've owned 4 rwd cars and 1 fwd car. Now thats not to say that fwd isn't fun, because it is fun in its own way....just not nearly as fun as rear wheel drive .
- BLINGMW - 09-08-2005 the only time I owned a FWD car was to punish myself for totaling my 240 twice. - JackoliciousLegs - 09-08-2005 blondes are still the hottest... no contest there... too bad that doesn't match up to RWD... - white_2kgt - 09-08-2005 duh - NaptownE36 - 09-08-2005 I'd like to have one of each... the women I mean. But like having one of each of the cars, that would be WAY too expensive! John - Nis01 - 09-08-2005 Had to give a vote for the power of AWD. The performance and the ability to use it in all conditions is a major plus. It might not be as great as RWD but at least I can have some fun in the snow and not get stuck... Oh... and blondes of course... - white_2kgt - 09-08-2005 NaptownE36 Wrote:I'd like to have one of each... the women I mean. I have one of each  Mustang - RWD Mazda6 - FWD Expedition - AWD - Dave - 09-08-2005 I started with FWD in a 1.8L eclipse with a whopping 92 hp. I went RWD after that and haven't looked back. Course, FWD with more power and better handling would be a whole lot better, which might convince me that they are decent platforms :-). Haven't had an AWD, yet. |
