Understandable. I did not intend to put down anyone or race, it was just meant to be a joke. I never thought about what you mentioned Jack but I will think twice before ever again posting something borderline. It was deleted in a matter of 26 minutes, it was taken from a post in another forum.

Not sure if y'all are following the New Orleans thread in the other large forum we frequent but it has grown to 24 pages.

it seems that we are not the only ones. there was a small story on the local news about people in harrisonburg contacting the Red Cross saying they would host famlilies. i think they said about 8ish so far.

The latest headlines are lamenting about all of the "survivors" in New Orleans who are "stranded" in the Superdome convention center and living under squalid conditions next to corpses and feces etc etc etc.

Well no fucking shit, when the mayor of a city orders a full evacuation, it's probably a good idea to pack up your shit and leave. Even if you have nowhere else to go other than the shithole you used to live in heh. Those people are either very very very unfortunate or (more likely) very very very retarded.

I feel so sorry for the citizens of the town that have truly lost everything, but who managed to get out with their families alive. THOSE are the ones that deserve donations. Those who are stuck in shelters with no food because they refused to leave though, you made your bed, now fucking lay in it. And to the bigger assholes who are rolling through the streets of shitwater with weapons raping women, pillaging, looting, and making an already terrible situation even more unbearable...I hope each one of them gets a National Guard bullet to the face.

And I've never had an aggressive stance when it comes to military concerns! But seriously, it's so pathetic how low people become when a situation like that occurs, instead of banding together to help rebuild their hometown. If you ever wonder what the world is going to be like when Doomsday comes around, take a look at the headlines right now.

absolutely amazing. reading about how people break into grocery stores, and stealing liquor and cigs instead of meat, canned good, or other foods.

then i read about how some of these degenerates are shooting at the rescuers. i literally can't even focus on what i'm doing, i'm so pissed at the utter filth some of these people are. it's a shame, and obviously there's no guidance or leader but i simply can't sympathize with some of these people for their behavior. i understand some things need to be done to survive but this is ridiculous.

i can only hope those deserving of help find it, and that those who are injured in the name of survival get proper help. paycheck comes tommorow, i'll see what i can donate....

How pray tell are you going to evacuate the city when you are poor and don't own a car? Walk?

What is really disturbing to me is that the National Guard/Military presence hasn't ramped up fully yet. On one of the news broadcasts a FEMA rep was saying they didn't even know there were people trying to take shelter at the convention center until today.

I'm hoping that they really get things under control in the next 24 hours because at day 4 people are really going to start succumbing to dehydration, exhaustion, and chronic illness.

If you had so little money that you cannot afford a bus or a taxi to a safer area, and you're physically unable to walk the distance, then you're one of those really unfortunate people I was talking about who are *literally* getting raped by those who decided to stay and cause trouble.

I'd definitely walk my ass out of there if I didn't have the money for transportation. This was one of the biggest impending natural disasters to hit our country, and it was no secret that it was coming. Hell, if you started walking when everyone started evacuating, you'd probably make it out of the city faster than a car in all those monstrous traffic jams.

The communication and organization is a complete and utter clusterfuck down there. There has literally been nothing like this in history. The communication and organization infrastructure of other disasters such as andrew and 9/11 was lightyears better than what they have down there.

And everything I have been hearing has been that its much much worse than what you see on the news.
