Ok... I've fried the front brakes on my crx on the street in 2 months. The front passanger side is carving into the rotor, the drivers side is just really low.
do i just to calipers, rotors, and pads... or do i replace the proportioning valve and MC as well? who wants to do major brake work befor the chili cook off? please?!?! thats if i can get my hands on all the parts!

dragging caliper(s).
a bad MC you should feel in the pedal (and it wouldnt wear your rotors)
so, two caliper rebuild kits... OR two rebuilt calipers... new rotors and street pads

i know at least one caliper is bad. the front right... when it started grinding the rotor... i could hear it sticking a little... it might just need to be cleaned up and and have new boots put on it... but if i'm doing one caliper up front i might as well do them both... and it might just be more effective to replace them with rebuilds and not rebuild them on my own.

find some junk spares locally (i probably have 2 civic cores i could give you), buy rebuilt, and then attempt to rebuild your old ones. having some spares and knowing how to rebuild them = priceless once you start tracking heavily.

Doesnt matter. Buy remans at autozone... pay the core charge... put mikey's old busted ass civic calipers back in the box and get your core $$ back.
