I have a Forza and a FX1 installed in my Subaru. The Forza isn't as nice as the high end seats but functions well on the track and street in my everyday driver. I don't recommend the FX1 as it is much less comfortable, heavier, and less snug as compared to the Forza.

BLINGMW Wrote:so I'm going with some Corbeau seats, with the thing being on the street more than I wish it was, the padding is nice. Found a very lightly used Forza w/ bracket for a passenger seat, and might order up the same for driver's seat. But there's a fiberglass FX1 seat they make for a little more $, might be a better fit, I'll try one on this weekend and see. Installed the Forza as a driver's seat this afternoon just to see, and MAN... even that's such an improvement, I was excited! I felt like I was drivin me a real race car boy!

damn. LESS snug? Guess all Corbeaus are made for american asses. And you have the normal version, not the wide? Oh well, maybe I won't wait to sit in one, I'll just order up another Forza then. I was hoping for something a little tighter than the Forza, which leaves me just a little more lateral slack than I'd like. :? Oh well, saves me some $.

Yup, I have the normal version, and have a 35" american ass.
The FX1 is also a little wide at the shoulder area making it rub on the door. I would have rather purchased another Forza. I have no complaints with my Forza, although I have sat in Sparco seats which are more comfy.

yeah, I hear ya, but so is the price! Sad And I've had little luck finding used ones.

Thanks for the info on the FX1's, maybe I won't waste my precious drinking time checking it out this weekend. I'm about 35" waist too, so I'm probably in the same boat as you

the only Sparco in my price range is the Sprint.... any feedback/comparisons on that?

just keep saving $$ until you can afford a good one, so you dont have to buy a seat twice.

both RJ and I found EVOs for around $450

you may want to check out the Momo Start. It was a little snug for me, but it may fit you better. Its fiberglass and pretty comfy. I really dont like the comfort or the saftey of the tube frame seats (forza, sprint)

grrr.... damn you guys. I'll give you $400 for yours! Fine, I'll do a little more work and delay my order. :? I'll goto to the mitty this weekend, see if I can find a discount Sparco from the discovery parts guys or just steal one out of some vintage racer when they aren't looking, but if I don't find one, or it doesn't sit radically better, then Forza it is. And then I hate you guys for making me 2nd guess myself and waste more time on this.
