Three months later and what's up. Should we set up a committee at the next meeting? I realize the semester is winding down and the car show is coming up, but a committee can't hurt.

I volunteer to help construct the committee, and set it on track. Can the "GRM Committee" be put on the next meetings agenda? Or nominations for members on the website? Once the commitee is developed, they can start recieving ideas for fundraising, then for car construction.

not to pitch the rotary, but if you are looking for something unique. why not do a carbed supercharged bridge port 13b? you could pick up alot of the stuff from a junkyard and could easily do for about $800. get a busted engine, tear it down and port it with a dremel tool, a rebuild kit is like $360 for all the seals. then slap a eaton m90 from an old thunderbird for $50-$150. (like i am gonna do this summer
![]() a bp 13b can put down around 250-300 hp n/a, a supercharger would just make it crazy fast. hey and come on revving 12k would definately turn some heads. i would definately like to help with any project if i have the time. keep us informed about what is going on with it so we can lend a hand

It's a good idea. We've had alot of good ideas. I read GRM and I'm amazed of some of the stuff people have pulled off. There was a first gen RX-7 with a JDM Turbo I motor, 12A carb'd turbo. Idled at 3000 rpm's because of the 911 turbo fuel pump he used.
There was also a rear-drive chevy small block powered CRX that came in under 1500. That's the kind of thing we're up against. The 2004 challenge finally saw the breaking of the 10 second mark (10.659) in the quarter with 4 cars in the 11's. I think we'll see slower drag times in the 2005 challenge and prettier cars now that the drag and auto-x times are combined. It's really exciting though, I hope we can pull something together, even if we have to push it through everything!
