Do it. Or at least drive it.

Still think you should just do a AM V8 vantage or F-Type.

Says the guy that just bought $100k in vehicles last month Big Grin

I have decided having a back seat makes the car easier for me to use. And if its easier to use, it wont just sit there.

is a 911S different from a base in significant ways or is it just sound and style? if its just a set of dampers and what not, you're likely not going to care on the street.

If I'm honest, I'd spend the next 6-9 months shopping cars while waiting to see which way the economy is actually going. They might be cheaper next fall.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Yeah, I've considered that.  I feel like we've been walking an economic tightrope for a long time with no indication that the long term health is good, but yet, no indication that we're losing balance either.

I debated this and am sure we will be seeing a dramatic push back in new car sales. I just wonder at his price point if it’s going to be more than a couple grand swing; why wait? We truly aren’t getting any younger.....

It feels good to save money, especially if you're worried about such a big purchase. Being able to find a screaming deal could help grease the wheels. I still smile about the GTI deal and that was only a few grand that I didn't *need* to save.

It takes me like 3-6 months to price shop what I want anyway... so that sort of shop doesn't feel super long to me. YMMV.

Yep, I'm shopping now and asking questions to get a feel for the market.

One problem I'm seeing is that these things are getting cheap enough that they are showing up on shady used car lots.
