Yea, or just ask questions and clarify all the things with the folks that have experience with it. I wouldnt call it complaining, youre just reading my posts wrong maybe. Some people just cant take constructive criticism I guess.

I understand constructive criticism and welcome it (I'm also not in a decision-making role with NASA, but can absolutely pass along suggestions).

Yes, accessing some information requires a lot of clicks. And some things require a printer. Just kinda how it is for now. There is a lot of information to be distributed for every one of our events and most people ignore the emails anyway. The reason we don't link directly to schedules from the email is because the schedule does occasionally change between the email send and the event. I will certainly pass along the feedback that direct links would be helpful, perhaps if we can get the schedule finalized earlier it would help with that effort.

I swear I'm not an asshole in person, btw.

Usually.

Jakes good people... Smile

Jake what time are you planning to be there on Thursday? I think I'm packing a special cooler just for the wait to get in.

Like 3 or 4, I think. I was asked to run the Tundra through the off-road course on Thursday afternoon, not Friday, because of the crowd size.

do you have a passenger seat in the car? I'd put my phone in a bag in the seat.

don't bash the website when you cant use google... I'm almost 40 years old and found the form

https://nasa-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/doc...h_form.pdf

I had no trouble finding the form. I dont want to print it out, I want to submit it to them electronically, is this a thing? If i have to print it, i can likely get staples/OD to print them both for me at some point. Id rather not do that at all though if they have them printed out there already.

there isn't a digital version. your instructor will double check your paperwork and it is filed away for the duration of the event...

FYI, you are young and tech savvy. most people at the track aren't. I have a feeling this "ageist" post is the resistance to change.

show up as early as you can (and pack beer/food for the line), camp (VIR is charging $50 for hyperfest... whiskey tango foxtrot), and live the hizzyfest life.

I was going to plan to show up saturday morning but im gonna do an audible and drive the racecar to work that friday and head up afterwards after more thought. Since I have to print the tech form it makes sense to just print out the ticket too (plus itll help cry myself to sleep thinking of the dead trees that weekend).  I think that answers all my numerous questions, aside from how to drive better. See y'all at the track and thanks for all the info/answers!

plant a couple of trees to offset the use. you might want to plant a couple of more for your carbon foot print with the car.

screw that... that means I have to load the car and do all this other stuff the night before. i'll wake up without an alarm, have help loading the truck and trailer, have an easy drive down to VIR, and "feel good" by the time we get to unload.

my only downfall is setting up camp... I hate doing that after dinner and beers.

I can get in any time after 3:00 so I'm going to try and be as close to that as possible. I took the whole day off to get down there so will grab breakfast, hook up the trailer and make my way south. Probably will end up helping with registration or something after I'm done off-roading, until more people show up and we can run up to the Tavern for foods.

I didnt order enough roll cage padding, but some more arrives tomorrow. That's way easier to install than suspension though! Circuitcross shake down this Saturday at NCCAR with bolt tightening Sunday across the whole car. Got some VP X98 for the AX to see how she pulls on pure corn too Smile

I should probably drive mine around the block at some point. I must be forgetting something because there's nothing that comes to mind that I need to do to it.

I'm planning to have both instructor and driver sides identical in padding. Unless you mean for my instructor to hit me with when I make mistakes, in which case that's a great idea :-D

I shall be getting there Thursday evening. I have a couple open practice sessions I'm allowed in on Friday since I'm a Patriot Course instructor on Saturday. May throw on the Conti's to get their first heat cycle/casing burn off in on Friday

Or you can bring a beer to your resident on-track pass writer and give him a little kiss on the cheek.

I'll be getting in at 10:00 on Thursday, which means I get to open beers before the rest of you losers.
