PREPARE YOUR ANUS

I want nothing to do with that supercharger kit, its garbage.

The drivetrain swap is no issue, its all factory parts and BMW sold the same configuration (N54 + Longroof) across the pond - having owned the 1-series with the same motor I think this is going to be a really nice setup.  I'm going to pay BPC to do the work/coding.  Probably wont happen until next summer but I can start plotting now.

All this for a third pedal. Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a second car?

The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Small updates... some new tires at the indy shop and had 2 recalls handled at the BMW dealer, no fuss.

Mach V has helped me get the ride heights sorted on this thing - the rear is a pain because the spring/perch has to come out to adjust it but I'm happy where we are and the car rides awesome.  I still need to get the damn windows tinted... goodspeed is your guy mobile?

As part of the suspension refresh, I also wanted to swap out the front swaybar - for the xDrive E90's there's only one choice, UUC.  I ordered a front sway bar August 16, advertised as in stock on their website and I hear nothing for a few weeks. "Oh sorry those are in production will have them in a few weeks". Every few weeks and I'm told a different excuse of why it will be another few weeks. Finally shows up last week, 4 months after I ordered it, I schedule an appointment at a shop, followed by a frantic email that its the wrong bar and I shouldnt install it.  It also took them a week to get me a shipping label to send it back.  If there was another option for xDrive E90 swaybars I'd have done it a long time ago because they are the fucking worst.

I dont have many other things in mind for this car until we go down the turbocharged rabbit hole.  I traded some emails with another enthusiast who said he's done about 10 of the N54 wagon swaps so I'll be asking him a bunch of questions as I'm peering over the ledge.

Its taken a year and a ton of time/money but this car is finally starting to grow on me...

I cant, I'm backed into a corner.  I wont sell it for something older and the only thing newer is a VW wagon. Its only got 75k miles so I hope I get at least a few more years.

What do you do in 10 years when there are no new-ish manuals left to DD? Honest question.

I've accepted that the E91 is the end of the road.

I'm also sad that the F31 is the end of the bmw wagons, too, but I guess that puts me into a CPO one in 3-4 years.  Or maybe a V60 Polestar... hmmm....

The V60 feels like an Outback. Do not want.

Have you considered moving to Europe? That'll fix yer problem.
