This probably makes me more qualified to debate the point, given I've also been to Europe??
Are you actually disagreeing with my point, or are you just trying to get in a particularly lame dig?
The pastries from a nice cafe in Paris are the same as the pastries from a nice Cafe here. The (gross) pastries etc from a grocery store in London are the same as the (gross) pastries etc from a grocery store here. French cuisine is notorious for being drenched in butter. Sugar is huge in European culture.
If you sit down at a cafe in Paris and order a €12 chocolate croissant and say to yourself HOLY SHIT this is so much better than the honeybun I buy from the vending machine at work LOL fat americans, then you're just as stupid as Ken.
I cant believe we are still arguing about breakfast sweets

Believe in something. Even if it means losing everything.
If the next great hate is started over breakfast food, I think we need to just all delete our accounts in shame.

My thoughts exactly.
Speaking of believing in something, this amuses me.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Yet - things are different. As I provided evidence for. But please, provide more anecdotal evidence like vending machine honey buns to your tourist trap purchase.
I mean, whatever, I'm not arguing over breakfast sweets with Professional World Traveler and Stubborn Dumbass, Evan.

Senator to my recollection I have never been frostedflakesboarded, nor have I ever been party to the frostedflakesboarding of any person or persons, these allegations are baseless fiction spun whole-cloth by the Clintons for revenge.

TWO UNACCEPTABLE THINGS IN ONE DAY
1) All artificial sugars.
Whiskey and coke = good. Whiskey and diet coke = I wish I skipped the "coke". Fuck you sucralose.
Stevia in baked goods? Usually combined with erythritol? Nope. No thanks. You almost fooled me but the aftertaste tastes like cancer.
2) The deaf motherfuckers that designed this amp on my desk. And the even more deaf ones that designed my soundbar. I'd really like to know if any of you experience this. With many of these devices, when connected to a sub, the amp has some low-cut-out level for energy savings (I guess) that I completely disagree with.
If it's at low volume but I can clearly hear the contribution from the sub, and in the middle of Parliament Funkadelic it drops out, it's crap.
And if I turn it on, and have to double the volume just to get the sub to chime in, and then turn it back down, hoping the sub will stay with me on some RJD2, it's crap.
