There's also only 1 in my price range in the area and it's over 100k miles. I'm fine with a 100k Lexus, I don't think I'm fine with a 100k Kia Yakuza car

I actually test drove one of these a while back and the LS is realllllyyy unathletic. The GS ain't a small car but the '13+ is way more agile and probably quicker than the LS
I guess another way to put it is that I don't feel like my driving experience is going to be much different in an LS than an ES, and the ES is way cheaper

That's what I'm talking about right there. I test drove one nearly identical up near the Speedway on Sunday. Those things rip man, even for a big heavy sedan. Prices are super low compared to the comparable Lexus too. Partly bad crash test ratings and a meh interior are the only real drawbacks. The S trim would be my preference as it gives you the body kit / wheel upgrades and paddle shifters and the black interior makes it more liveable.
From my limited forum trolling, these appear to be pretty reliable from this generation. Mostly just electrical issues people are having occasionally, but the engine and transmission apparently are pretty bullet proof and I think these have a decent aftermarket if I want to tweak things a little?
It's just SO much cheaper in some cases for a similar year car with much less mileage, it's what has me coming back to it

Give it a rest man. Lee (and no one in their right mind) is buying a used (or new for that matter) K900. In 2017 they sold only 462 of these between the US and Canda. This year they aren't even on pace to do that many. The US market, at least, is not ready for a $50k Kia.

Q40 is starting to sound more like the answer, unless I can find a cherry GS350 F for a reasonable price. You can find these all day at a slight budget stretch with a CPO warranty.

My grandfather had an es350 briefly. He's 84. I'm as shocked as you that Lee is considering this. It's basically a Camry. At least the gs f sport has the guise of being sporty while being a barge.

Carfax shows a full dealer service history. Still has 1 year / 9k mile warranty left on the bumper to bumper.
You could also move up to a 420hp 2014 or 2015 R spec with similar miles for low 20s.

One of these days y'all are gonna realize that the perfect car doesn't exist, that there's no 400hp awd diesel wagon convertible with 6MT and leather and stop making 1 car do everything, because it's just gonna do nothing well.
You think carseats are a pain in the CX-5? Wait until you try to put one in the back of a Q40 (and omg fucking infiniti, no god no). Damn near every new car made will beat a 66 Mustang in the 1/4, that's just what technology will do for you but that doesn't mean it's "sporty".
Think about what your family actually needs, buy that, then sell your Rolex for something fun.
