Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX)

Ahh, that makes sense on the mirror, I was playing with the switches while collecting from my bitches so I could add to my riches to fold the mirrors in. These cars should come with a book or something that tells the owner how all the stuff works.

To Scotty's point, it's interesting someone would do that for a lease they gave up after 25K miles. Mine lived in Germany for the first 15K but 99% sure it was purchased by someone stationed over there.

I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...

almost like a manual, if you will, for the owner.  and they could make it small enough that you could keep it in the glove box.  brilliant!

The irony here is I've literally read every owner's manual cover to cover for every car I've owed, except the BMW and GTI.

I still don't understand how those damn numbered buttons work on the dash. I just use the iDrive wheel to change radio stations.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Guess you went to college so you didn't have to read the book?

The iDrive number buttons aren't hard. Highlight literally anything you want as a "memory" item with the iDrive wheel, then press-and-hold the number to store it. I had my 128i set between radio stations, random car functions, and "take me home" on the navigation.

It's happening!

So, update, dealership had to use a service called Plateman, which they go to out of state DMVs and process the paperwork on behalf of the dealership.

I've been refreshing the VA DMV page everyday since Monday, to see if they have processed my car.

Today it popped up!

Hopefully have it mid week next week, once we discuss shipping tomorrow.

Has the fancy adaptive suspension. Need to research springs and how well they play with the adaptive struts. If it doesn't play well, I will leave it alone.

Edit:

So that took 15min of research. H&R springs play well with the M Sport adaptive suspension. $240 at Tire Rack. So yea, I'll be lowering it tomorrow.....maybe I should just order them, and throw em on before I even drive the car. Sounds good right?

HNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG......
