MAAP Open House Oct. 14
#1
Madison Automotive Apprentices will be hosting an open house on October 14th for out of town Porsche club chapters and MM has been asked to host a cruise into Harrisonburg and out 33 into WV as well as hang out with a bunch of really cool Porsches.

The plan as of now looks like we will be hosting Porsche club chapters from out of town to bring
a group of cars into Harrisonburg for lunch, show and shine concours and end up at the new MAAP garage/classroom facilities that evening. The idea is to pair up with the local Porsche club(s) who are hosting the event and lead their cars into town on a morning tour. The downtown pavilion (Farmer's Market shelter) is reserved from 1-3 and there is a banquet meal and silent auction planned at MAAP. So, there will be plenty of opportunities for MMS members to help and get close to lots of really cool cars and meet and mingle with other car enthusiasts.

More details to come as we get closer to October

Just be aware that you shouldn't have anyone that is going to be doing shenanigans. If MM is officially involved (as well as MAAP and PCA

I can tell Dr. Borg said that last part, haha. It's marked on my calendar and I plan to be there. This is really exciting!

As soon as some times are nailed down, can you let us know? Need to figure out logistics.

Also, AluMMni, want roll down together or something?

I'm gonna go ahead and claim a passenger seat in an alums car. I want to be present but I don't drive anything near as cool as any of those Porsches.

Got a little schedule update for this event,

Saturday 10/14, 1:30-3:30: A row of car show/shine parking spaces is being reserved next to the Farmers Market for MM students and alumni

The Color Tour cruise with MM is scheduled to depart Sunday 9:00AM. So far about 10-15 PCA visitors have signed up.

Will there be help needed the morning of or day before? Also who is planning on bringing their own car vs riding along with someone so we don't show up with too many or too little cars
