Time for the official thread! There is a Facebook event page that is private. If you did not recieve and invite, please let me, the other officers, or Dave know and we'll fix it.

When: February 11th starting at NOON

What: Alums and students from all years come together for a pot luck. A duck is shoved inside a chicken, inside a turducken and lots of beer is consumed. Knowledge and grumpiness is passed from alums to students and someone rides a BMX bike through the house.

Dave has children, and children will be welcome at the party, so please remember this isn't a party where you can throw a log through the window and shotgun on top of his car. His neighbors are close so please be respectful of the neighborhood. If you want to get rowdy, there will be a party at my place afterwards.

We will need some help buying the turducken. We have most of it covered, but please contribute if you'd like. If not, please bring a dish or beverage. A signup sheet is located here.

AFTER PARTY

Things should die out at or before 6. This is when people are welcome to come over to my house for a more college-esque college, but still suitable for you older folks.

When: After 8 or 9 unless you want to hang while I set up. We can play some rockband and grow out our mohawks too.

What: Party/drink/dance. I'll try to provide juice and other things, but if anyone wants to contribute a few dollars or a cheap case of beer, that'd be splendid. I will not use club money for alcohol, but I also refuse to through a BYOB party. I have a pretty big house and lots of things to do, so it'll be fun for all. There is a public event for this.

I can predict everyone's response, just to save some effort on their part.

"We are busy adults and our weekends are booked months ahead. We can't make it to events with only 3 weeks lead time."

Which is understandable, but I do hope alums try to make an effort to come. This is 'their' event.

"We are busy adults and our weekends are booked months ahead. We can't make it to events with only 3 weeks lead time."

Which is understandable, but I do hope alums try to make an effort to come. This is 'their' event.

:lol: that's pretty spot on. The only reason I'm able to (hopefully) make it is because it's at my house. To be fair, it is an extra 2 hours round trip from Kaan's house for nova people.

In other news, I'm probably going to grab 2 - sixth barrels from Pale Fire, although I can only have one on tap at a time right now. I had already made (and paid for) plans for that Saturday. I've also got a lot of long drives coming up (karting, car show, racetracks) and figured one more weekend without travel wouldn't be bad.

Very nice.

I'm not even sure what we're arguing about. It's at a weird time and on shorter notice than usual. Regardless it would be farther away from one group, students or alums. Since Dave and I are organizing it, it's closer to us, so the other group is less likely to come. Hopefully when the alums pick it back up next year, it'll be normal again.

Oh, dont' worry, it'll happen. It'll creep on you until the day you realize you need a google calendar so that you stop double booking yourself. Then you realize that you're weekends truly are booked months in advance and you treasure those ones where you can sit your ass on the couch and do nothing but netflix binge.
