Y'all have a point, and I agree to an extent. I don't see a problem with me buying one at the end of this summer. I have the money to buy it now and anything I make this summer is extra, which is more than I can say ever before.
you need 2002 in your life.
Only if you let me buy it for much more than it's worth and promise to give me advice I won't listen to about it.

Taylor this probably helps not at all but you can borrow my red one and crash it if you're looking for some nostalgia. :dunno:

How can I say no to that 2002? I just need new plugs and a brake job and it'll be good to go.
Chan, I want to borrow your van.

I'm sure he'd let you use the ChanVan, but you need to bring your own bag of candy.
That dude with the 02 is off his rocker. that thing is maybe a $300 parts car, with 1/2 of that value being in the steering wheel. He was also very offended when I asked if he'd sell me just the wheel and I'd give him another also.

Joey, you and I are on the same page. I just closed the tab looking at that. Interesting. This time around, I'm really hoping for an NA8 since I have the money, but I guess it would make more sense to spend the money and get a NICE NA6 instead of a decent NA8.
Damn you. I'm trying to wait. I'll shoot them a text, because why not?

Damn you. I'm trying to wait. I'll shoot them a text, because why not? So that you can ask 30 questions, waffle for 2 days and wait for the car to be sold to somebody serious? If you text a seller, the only question should be "when can I see the car."

On a more serious note, a different but effective tactic to getting a desirable car without the hassle is to approach people who are not selling their car. Blair has bought countless cars (his AE86 for example) by approaching people, not playing the Internet snipe game.

This car looks good. Says some rocker rust. I'll drive up tomorrow morning to look and put a deposit down if I like it.

Sounds like a way to get an asking price more than the car is valued.

Just don't have high expectations. Compliment the car, ask if they'd ever consider selling it. If they say no don't be a dick and push it, maybe they've been thinking about it and will give you a price. Maybe they're sick of looking at the goddamn thing and have no idea what it's worth, you'll never know unless you ask.
That being said, people doing that is the reason I give people offensive prices like $50k for my car. People at shows will ask me what I want for it and push the issue if I just say no, so I just give them a ridiculous price.

I've actually went to approach people in Miatas but I was either late for something and they were about to drive off. That just worries me because if it's a cheap Miata, I can't start asking questions about everything.
Also I don't "waffle". I have shit to do like a job that I work a lot of hours at. Every chance I've had, I've told them I'd be there at the soonest possible time except for maybe driving there at midnight.
Ha! If I were home I'd check it out for you. That's about 7 minutes from my mom's house...
