What happened to the DA integra in TTE?
I for sure understand the concern and I appreciate everyone that doesn't want me to deal with the headache. I really do.
As for TTD there isn't much I could do that would allow me enough points to really make an impact there. Throw cams/port head on it? Cost like $3k. Probably worse idea than FI and shit only makes like another 15 whp... for like 10 points or something crazy :dunno: .
I need be picking up something actual lap timing but brakes are more important now. I was going to pick up a solo before Hypderfest. Now not so much. Yes video isn't perfect but give or take a second or less and it's still doing well.
Edit: I mean if I run TTD I'm not sure what I can do that will make me faster. I need more power power power. 245 Hoosiers will probably slow me down at a certain point. I don't ever seeing me need an LSD with 245 Hoosiers an 130whp. LOL. Other than that bracing really isn't going to help time wise. Maybe a higher-end suspension might help a tenth or two. I just not sure how else I can really optimize well for TTD . Also, TBH I thought of joining TTD before I ever dreamed of this ridiculous TTC build. It just isn't going to make a real fun car since doing small things N/A wise won't make any power on this engine for how many points I have to give up. I mean maybe swapping in a 2.5 would probably be the best N/A option cost wise but probably be murdered by points.
as my car sits i'm at the top of TTE... i know i could pick up time with 19 points.

But you drive a Honda with a better engine/engine choices to make more power than I ever could N/A for the cost though.
el oh el... 1.8L nonvtec... I would never swap to get into TTE.

Port head + cams = +12 points for 15 hp. Looking at TTD crap now since you all making me doubt TTC. Sigh :dunno: . :finger: . It would cost a lot and be a pain but tune for e85 or race gas would help a lot for power.
Edit: here is magical TTD: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IDDMmcPaPeeiKjJzBhm-eJ1vehBzz2oEt55wXO1Kurk/edit?usp=sharing">https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing</a><!-- m -->
something is wrong if you only get 15hp from porting and cams.... you need better cams and a real standalone.

Because they are high RPM cams I'd only be revving to 8000 safely. May be wrong though. I think 9000 with an full N/A build the cams would make 25? I forgot what they've seen before. ^^up for link to TTD if you care.
My tuner suggests swapping to a 2.5 head and add cams and make 180+whp. He has knows for a fact cams on a 2.5 makes 190whp but isn't exactly sure power figures on a 2.0. Just need the cylinder head, head bolts, and head gasket to swap it around. This would be my safest and best for power I'd assume. Still 12 points but a lot more power than I expected.
Does that sound more reasonable for the peoples?
Do you really need 245 hoo hoos? Gain a couple of points by dropping to 225s and spend those points else where.
I'm just thinking of what DJ says. Tire is key for my car. I want lsd + chassis stiffening with 245s. I could drop sway bars to have both. I'm heavy and underpowered.

Well rip swap head plans. Requires dyno reclass.
Edit: So, I've done the math and I don't think I can afford DTC60s and ducts for Hyperfest. I will just purchase the high tempt ducting to run along the LCA's through the fog lights.

this sounds like textbook pad knockback if its that inconsistent. anyone with more experience care to weigh in?

No it wasn't knockback. The only issue was braking on the front straight before 1.
I was getting small knockback every now and then though going from 4(long sweeaper with higher speed) and braking into 5 but that has happened since the first time I track my car at Summit. I don't believe I have had knockback at VIR? Can't remember though.

oh ok...i read it to sound like it was happening all over at random. coming off a big straight, heat would make sense. any airflow increase should help.
this might also be worth a shot for a short term solution...some VW/focus guys have used these (maybe with success, i dunno). you might be able to retrofit a porsche lower control arm air scoop to work with the 3 since they all use front strut architecture. no idea how much they run though.

Fronts will be like this through the fog lights:
The rears weren't nearly as hot as the fronts so I'll keep them like they are for now.
