Mike Wrote:Current list of possible replacements. Need to gather data:
Acura TSX Sport Wagon
Audi A4 Avant
Audi Allroad
BMW 328xi
Volvo V60
This is our list. The depreciation on Volvo seems to encourage going that route vs. something German. I'm also intrigued by the TSX, but I haven't done a lot of research into what it means to own a deprecated Acura model. Please share your datas please.

The TSX's are fine cars. Boring, but fine.

Target is not $250. We're paying $390 for the A4, but after two years we have positive equity so if sold today it'd come out to have cost $250/mo or so.
Golf wagon thing not having memory seats is pretty huge. Also bumps you into like $35k+ car territory :/

you're overthinking it. what are you REALLY going to do with that extra money anyway? If its just spending money, then spend it. If it's saving money, are you already making your saving goals, and you keep moving the goal post to save more?

Not gonna lie, I haven't really had a problem not having them but I have thought that I'd really like it more than once.

You guys have what? 3 cars?
Aaaand Audi called. The backup computer wasn't malfunctioning. One of the three parking sensor was. You know those little dots in the bumper? Closest guess on the parts and labor on that gets a dollar. Hint: it's absurd.

$170 part. $350 labor

Yes... but one of them was made by a manufacturer that said anyone who rides in the passenger seat will probably die. Each of us routinely drive both daily drivers.

$100 part, paint + labor = $630. It's the fucking size of a quarter. So I'm going to order a $30 one on eBay and f'ing spraybomb it or pay a painter $20 to do it. You can install the damned thing with your hands and five minutes.

I don't think you can unless you share a car with someone who is nowhere near your size.

can't tell if serious. i can afford a lot of things that i don't. that allows me to afford a lot of things that i couldn't. i know what a car is worth to me per month and that's what i look to spend. :dunno:

Past: 2016 GMC Canyon All Terrain Crew Cab / 2010 Jaguar XFR / 2012 Acura RDX AWD Tech / 2008 Cadillac CTS / 2007 Acura TL-S / 1966 5.0 HO Mustang Coupe
2001 Lexus IS300 / 2004 2.8L big turbo WRX STI / 2004 Subaru WRX / A couple of old trucks
And that is absolute rape on that pricing. Is the install that easy or is there any kind of programming that needs to be done?

I don't think you can unless you share a car with someone who is nowhere near your size. Stef is 5'3", I am 6'3", I drive her car all the time and it doesn't have memory seats. You are right, the struggle is real. Reaching for the switch and taking an entire 20 seconds out of my day to adjust the seat is simply unbearable. I should sell it and buy an Audi that requires hours of my time every month taking it to and from the shop.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

I really don't get it... and I'm a snob about everything. Maybe because we only adjust front/back.

There's 0 chance you get it exactly how you like it every time. F that noise. More her requirement than mine, but I get it.
Next you guys are going to tell me I'm stupid for thinking I want AWD because 99% of my miles are on the road.
We've been over all of these things; I'm more qualified to know my requirements than you all. So can you think of anything that fits them that I may have missed?
She mention GLK today. I don't know squat about MB, but I do wish they had a C-wagon here.
