Clarification: Just because I like the Flex, doesn't mean I approve of Rex's choice in daily driver.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
I know I'm a bit late but I have to go with the like the Ford flex crowd. It's like an oversized wagon. What's not to like. I never looked into them enough to know they came awd or could have an ecoboost. I like them more now. Good future wife's car maybe. That way I can drive it occasionally and admire it but then get into something a tad smaller for my daily driving.

Unless safety has improved I would never stuff anyone in that 3rd row. It's a death trap.
My opinion on a flex not that anybody gives a shit is I'd never own one, but they are unique and weird. I don't like or hate it. In the end it's what you like for a vehicle not someone else's. I vote cx5 because Mazda makes some great economy vehicles that are fun.

Car had been good outside of warranty, but it was only a matter of time. Sunroof drain clogged again, soaked the interior, and fried the backup sensor computer. LUCKILY, we had that "resolved" less than a year ago under warranty and all repairs at the dealership are covered with a 12-month. So $free, but fuck, do we need to have a yearly service to clean out the sunroof drains (rears aren't accessible without taking off the rear wheels)? I'm guessing since this is recurring I might have ground to stand on when it happens next year even if it's past the 12 month.

Ugh I had the same issues with my Cadillac. You would think there would be a TSB or something out on it to address the issue. I wonder how much it costs to have them cleaned out at each service interval? Just something you will have to keep your eye on I guess

You should just lease a new honda civic every 3 years. True story. $99/m for a brand new civic coupe CVT according to the commercial I just watched.

Got the car back after 8 days. The backup sensors don't work and there's a clunking noise in the c-pillar they were working on.
Fucking fun.

At least it's still in, my MKV driver's window rattled like a sumbitch if I tried to leave it halfway down, but that was nothing compared to Lauren's E39 in which literally every window either got stuck halfway down or just snapped the cable and fell into the door. I still have a spare rear regulator for that fucker.
