Ziptie - 10/17/14

Hey, I don't expect a response to this, but this is just to let any alumni/people I didn't invite on FB or personally know that there will be an MM Ziptie at my house Friday. This has been planned for about a month, but there was no need posting here on the forums until now since I doubt anyone on here will come that hasn't already RSVP'd. Current Member turnout is looking pretty good, but I don't want to leave out any alumni that might be in town and want to join in on shenanigans.

Location: 502 Snowberry lane

Time: 9:30 or later

Details:

This is a semi formal event, so button down shirt, nice-ish pants and shoes.

Bring a date (duh). If you absolutely can't find a date, bring a friend, but there's no promises no one will laugh.

Bring a fifth (of your favorite beverage). Get something low proof if you and your date don't want to wake up naked in a ally somewhere (or get something high proof if that's exactly what you want to happen)

You'll be ziptied together when you arrived and I won't cut you loose until you finish your bottle, or die.

There will be games, pong, quarters, and what-not. Hopefully no wrestling this time around Should be fun. I'll see y'all there!

At least you're doing it on Friday, in our day we would've raged hard on Saturday night and ended up at the autocross looking like this.



Oh and we used to use 40s or 4 Lokos as the beverages of choice. Maybe that had something to do with the name, seems vaguely familiar...

Forethought like this gives me faith in the younger generation, that was a concept we tried and failed to grasp the entire time we were in school. :lol:

YES. I think the funniest was Cabel getting stuck with "big Steph," and spent most of the night making fun of one another I believe. By the way, the name "big steph" was actually of very little relation to size; there just happened to be a pint sized Steph in their friend group so that was "little steph."

That was awesome, and like Joey said it's infinitely funnier/drunker if you do random. It also helps out the poor saps who don't have someone to bring. Honestly it was one of my few strokes of genius to do that on Valentine's Day.

We did 40's and 4 lokos, a 1/5th is super aggressive and will probably dissuade the ladies. Hell, I think the year after we just let the girls bring a bottle of wine to use. Bitches love wine.

Fuck. I wish I was going. Do something like this during homecoming and I'm down haha.

Last note. Forgot about that picture, that face perfectly depicts how I felt in that moment. Awesome.

Literally everyone does zipties with fifths. We're big kids and we can handle our booze. And I might have something for homecoming. I've kind of had a big party at my house every weekend so far this year and I wouldn't mind taking some time off.

I question whether kids these days use "fifth" to refer to the same thing we did. To me, a fifth has always been 750ml of hard liquor. Like dis:



I can't think of anything that comes in a fifth that I would consider "low proof" unless 35% Jager is low proof...

I'm assuming they're having each team split one bottle, whereas we assigned one beverage to each participant, and if you use the 1.5oz shot standard, that's ~8.5 shots per person. So, probably not lethal but definitely enough to get your average college girl to Fuckedupville.

Pretty sure it was a mini-keg, one of those Coors Light things you could buy at Sheetz back then. So it had a mini-dispenser-hose on it.

Yeah, me and my lady date are using plain Absolut and making mixed drinks. Also, I can do 15 shots and not die. Then again, I am the leading MM alcoholic. Everyone learned that last Friday. I DID black out that night.
