late catching up, but
1. that exhaust sounds just plain wicked! very nice!
2. nice job on the rattle can, but like you noted, good luck peeling that off if you change your mind.
3. at what point do we stop blaming soft rims or poor highway workers and question the drivers ability to avoid massive sinkholes in the road. :bootyshake: but seriously, that really sucks.

I wish it was as simple as that. Due to adding lanes and the amount of traffic down where I live, a lot of the potholes that have developed are no joke spanding entire lanes worth of the highway. The second one I hit was actually in between the lines of a lane that I was changing to avoid another pothole that was in my current lane. It's like Fallujah here I swear.

Dave, if you've never driven in the Charlotte area, you won't understand. When you used to hit NC on 77, it was like fucking Bosnia. A little better in October when we were there, but Lee's not lying. Charlotte is blowing up so fast that the roads are popping up everywhere and pot holes are ridiculous down there. Especially on the South Side of Charlotte where Lee and Rex's sisters live. Love the area, but f'real glad I have SUV height on my car.

I have begun to avoid the highway altogether when I am in my car...or at least the parts that are under construction which is most of it

ok, so maybe they might be a little narrow, but they really eliminate that stock wheel gap
Hahah I love it. What I need is for you to turn my car into a hover craft.
Wont have pics until Monday, the snow down here threw off the timetable to get everything put back together.

Got the car back early!
As a reminder I wasn't really pleased with how my Mina Gallery exhaust was installed by the first shop run by an acquaintance of mine. The chrome on the exhaust tips was damaged during the install and it was driving me crazy. The exhaust itself is incredible however the bracket supports on mine needed to be cut, adjusted and re-welded to get the mufflers / tips to fit right in the bumper. I would imagine I am not the first one to have fitment issues, but I guess I got unlucky with a little "variance" from the Mina Gallery mfg shop.
I also bent my third wheel in two months from the ridiculous highway potholes in our area and needed that to be repaired. I had Evolution Auto Salon remove the exhaust, powdercoat the tips gloss black, cut, reweld and install it correctly. They fixed the bent wheels and I had all four stock Nevis wheels powdercoated in matte Anthracite. I was going for the new OEM wheel dark gunmetal look. The wheels came out lighter than I thought they would but I actually really like it, they contrast and accent the grey calipers really nicely. It also helps to accentuate the lines of the car somehow; I have a painting of an Aston DBS at home that Madden did for me and my wife told me that the lines of my car now look sleeker and flowing like the DBS. They also contrast nicely with the carbon fiber pieces. I am now more strongly considering the Mina CF side vents because I think they will compliment nicely. And they are cheap and well built like their other stuff.
Here are some pretty average cell phone pics due to the weather. The next time I can detail the car and it's nicer out I will try to snap a few more.

Here's a pic when the sun was sort of out that the shop owner Matt took yesterday:
Not a drastic change on both but it made a dramatic impact of the presence of the car. Much more stealth and sleek!

I can't wait it needs it bad! I've got a mix of spider / silkworm webs and pollen all over it right now and it's futile to wash it because 10 seconds later it has a nice coat of yellow on it again. Looking forward to being part of your portfolio even if my car is only worth what an engine service costs on some of your clients' vehicles
Just had my yearly oil change / service. This beast takes 8 quarts, boof! Other than that knock on wood everything is running great. Car still pulls hard, has a hard time finding traction in gears 1-3. Exhaust has mellowed out quite a bit, has a more muted exoticy sound once it got burned in and was fitted / welded up right. Popping / crackling on decel is still there but much less than before (I actually loved it). There are more tune / pulley options out there now that are making +120whp but I am not really considering them right now anyway. This car needs more traction not necessarily more power.
I think I have decided on the carbon fiber fender louvers to round out the look of the front clip of the car. The carbon fiber rear splitter / valence would be the final touch but $650+ is a hard pill to swallow and kind of unnecessary. I am also debating having some headlight work done...nothing crazy but something similar to what I did on my Acura that looks very clean and OEM. I have a set of ZKW-R lenses that have been sitting around for a while that I think would really improve the quality / clarity of the light from my headlights. The OEM HIDs have very fuzzy edges, more so than other cars I have had. I would consider removing the orange lenses and possibly blacking out the housings but none of that is set in stone.
Thoughts on this "supercharged" front grille badge to satisfy my inner ricer and add some color and compliment the //R badge already there? They were OEM on the XKR:
They also make a red one on the newer models:

I kinda dig both of the badges. Either tie into the R grill badge, but I am assuming they are more than a $20 type R badge.
Yeah about $35 shipped from the UK for the green one, I think the red one is a little more
