Jon Polen VP

So here is the deal. I just typed up a multi-paragrpaph explanation of what is going on with all these VP candidates and my plans for next year. When I posted it, the shit tastic internet that graces Copper Beech hiccuped and I lost it all. That means I'm not typing it all up again.

I'm planning to stay on as VP. I do not want to take on the role of the president because I may not be able to make it to every event as the president should. I have a commitment to VBD which may get a lot more serious in the near future. I want to be able to give both venues my attention when needed and which is why I decided not to run for president. I also have an out of state girlfriend which takes me home on some weekends. I'll be able to make it to most events, but some I will not.

As far as things I plan to do, just keep doing what we did this year. I want to work more in the background and let the younger guys run the show. I plan to help keep them on track as far as scheduling and helping them out with planning the autox, car show, regular club events, and apparel orders.

Dan and I have talked and we are most likely going to run a 5 person team with Garrett, Chris, Sam, Abbie, and myself. Titles and all that will be worked out, but we plan to share the work equally. That's how Dan, Tyler, and I did it this year and I think it worked out pretty well.

Ask away.

Yeah seriously. But just an FYI, we've done something similar to this in the past, and it't worked very well. I don't think you can really have too many people trying to get kids motivated for events. I'm on board for this.

Smile I honestly love hearing from each one of the candidates after hangin out/ getting a meal with them this week that they are all being honest and realistic with what they can commit to/ sacrifice for MM

Garrett = Presidente
Jon = VP/ Main advisor to el presidente
Sam = VP
etc. etc.

More hands/ brains in my book is always better for this club- more delegation + shared responsibility = killing it next year

Title shows commitment, and gives you some decision making power. I don't care about titles, but other people do so might as well have it so you can enforce some leverage over the uninitiated.
