If you're new to riding a motorcycle, here are some things to make note of:

• Do not ride a bike up a motorcycle ramp, walk it up.
  
  
• Do not park a motorcycle on an elevated porch.
  
  
• Do not attempt a motorcycle jump from said elevated porch. (accidental or on purpose)
  
  
• If said jump occurs, remember to keep a camera handy.(hindsight is a wicked mistress)
  
  
• Do not accept a lift on a motorcycle from Pete after said jump. (wheelies and endos will ensue)

I've been racking my brain for useful advice to pass on, and I'm afraid I don't have much - I got relatively lucky with my wrenching adventures. As expensive as new cars might seem, sometimes they're a better idea than "I'll just get an old POS and fix it up" is my number one.
